Thank you for such a review. I have been considering between Pixel 4a and this phone. Since I don't use my phone to do gaming but love taking photos, the Nokia 5.3 seems to be a good fit for my needs without asking too much breaking the bank. There are far more better alternatives from Chinese hardware out there for better value but I am not going cheap over privacy and security concerns given how notorious they are collecting data through the device's back doors and built in spywares. This is another reason why phones from Chinese companies are high security risk despite being 'cheap' because you pay the extra with your personal data.

I would always pick Android One software over anything china has to offer even if it was solid hardware for 5k. It is a non nonsense , clean and safe UI to go with over anything that is out there. I am not a Fan Boi for google, I have removed System software from Samsung ,Sony and even HTC in the past to run custom ROM and kernels so I know how much of a safe bet clean UI is in the long run.

Price is a bit on the premium side considering it's direct competition is with the G9 currently. Wanted an Asus but I guess I'll have to make do with the either the Nokia or the Moto. Sad to see that us stock android users don't have much choice in the budget segment.
