- By 1930, Dr Ambedkar had become a leader of national stature championing the cause of the depressed people of the country. While presenting a real picture of the condition of these people in the First Round Table Conference, he had demanded separate electorates for them.
- On 16 August 1932 the British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald made an announcement, which came to be as the Communal Award. According to this award, the depressed classes were considered as a separate community and as such provisions were made for separate electorates for them. Mahatma Gandhi protested against the Communal Award and went on a fast unto death in the Yeravada jail on 20 September 1932.
- Finally, an agreement was reached between Dr Ambedkar and Gandhi. This agreement came to be called as the Poona Pact. The British Government also approved of it. Accordingly, 148 seats in different Provincial Legislatures were reserved for the Depressed Classes in place of 71 as provided in the Communal Award.

Sir, the reserve bank of India was established under RBI act, 1934 and began operation in April, 1935. The Govt of India act came in Aug, 1935 and the draft of GOI 1935 in Feb 1935. So, how did GOI 1935 help in the creation of RBI ?

Joint electorate was not for Harijans. It was for Depressed Class which was later replaced with the term Scheduled Castes in 1935. Scheduled Caste is not same as Harijan.

Ref. Mahadevbhaini Diary part 2 (Gujarati ) written by shri Madev Desai, Mahatma Gandhiji' Secretary. The poona pact was signed by Madan Mohan Malaviya and Dr. Ambedkar and others, on 24-09-1932. Immediately on 25-09-1932 the poona pact was further signed by the members of *The Hindu Parishad* in Bombay. They not only signed, but passed thee resolutions for doing best for the depressed class. But unfortunately it was their last meeting as could be read. Can you throw light in this regard as to its history and why it dispersed immediately after signing the pact escaping from its responsibility towards the depressed class? I think without these facts the story remains incomplete. I seek your help to known.

Dear people of the depressed section of Indian society, raise your voice for a separate electorate. Start asking for a separate electorate in exchange for Reservations. This is the only thing that can emancipate you from the social evils of Hindu society. It was the dream of Dr. Ambedkar, and we have to fulfill it at any cost. People will try to lure you in the name of Hinduism. They will ask you to unite but remember Hindus were never united and never will be. "United Hindu" is just political propaganda and that will never going to come true. P.S - Hinduism is not a religion, it's a way of life in which every lower caste has to accept the supremacy of the upper caste. Rajput has to accept the supremacy of Brahmans, Yadav has to accept Rajput, and so on. One last thing- "Never ever trust an upper-caste Hindu in your social matters. They will never favor you." Really this teacher knows very less about real history may be due to being of an upper caste making nonsense about the communal award being given by English men. Reasons best known to him, Mrinal Patel is not honestly illustrating Puna Pact in logical consequences, certainly with clear intention of misinterpretation and hiding of facts. Most probably either he himself is not logically Clear, or intentionally he is escaping from disclosing truth with a view to undermine the Struggle for More Power to Weaker and Downtrodden Sections of the country. Untouchables to waise hi alag h, uchi jati k log unko waise hi nich samjte h. Higher cast not taking food, water from there hand even they are not allowing them in the minders, they cannot enter in untouchables house, they can't fetch water from the common village's wells, they are not allow to touch public utensils, when they walking in front of higher cast they have to remove there slipper and have to put them on head, they always have to carry brooms and spitting pot with as they are not allowed to spit on ground. They can't hoard money if they do and a higher cast person want it, he can loot that money. And more many more atrocities prevailed in the past if any body wish to know please go through Baba Sheba Ambedkars literature.
