Akira Takasaki has a reputation as "the Japanese Eddie Van Halen", but his earliest influence was Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple and Rainbow. Loudness loves British metal, and they noticed that the biggest bands sing in English. That's why they've been the biggest Japanese band since they started in 1981.
