He bought for himself a holiday resort at Island of Ko Samui and few years later died from Aids, fucking too many prostitutes! Thats how Sheelas "criminal journey ended"! A thief, who was stolen the money she intended to steal ...from the criminal bankerson she married! Most crimes are rooted in "greed for money and more power"! However, Osho teached "freedom and selfresponsibility"! He made a few mistakes, like "signing a document" in which he declared Sheila owner of the land and all copyrights for his media. These copyrights are today still in the hands of one of the guys of Sheilas Gang: Swami Pramod or Klaus Steeg, living in New York and earning much more than the commune has made while Osho was alive! Same is happening to Pune Ashram: A 6-pack of gangsters overtook the commune and turned it into "private holiday resort for private exploitation". Many Sanyasins turned them to court to fight against this criminal overtaking and abuse of the communes legal status as "Foundation", which by law cannot be "privatized"!!!

I have followed, read, listened to Osho since the 80s. My opinion is that he was the greatest spiritual genius of our age. A first class mind, penetrating insight, and a love for people. Of course, like Buddha, Jesus, and many other spiritual giants, his body was not even cold when his followers began "interpreting" his teachings, all with their own opinions. Osho was not a perfect man in the light of the moral standards of many, but he was a perfect master.

OSHO was clearly contradictory in all his teachings. The crazy part is that his silliness, confusion, lack of empathy and compassion is being "evangelized" as freedom to unknowing, naive and repressed cultures in countries such as China and clearly by people who have no business "teaching" this type of pseudo and mangled psychotherapy. Just for your information, Osho called her a bitch in an interview, that he doesn't really love her because he loves many bitches, and that she was just nothing more than a waitress without him. That is discrimination toward women, and there's nothing wrong being a prostitute or any other job. No one is superior to anyone. So she is quite forgiving since she still talks highly of him. And she said really good stuff in this interview. He did say many smart stuff too, so it may be that his addiction to drugs caused him to become weird in his last years. Osho is not perfect. Don't be a fanatic and insult and try to shame people.
