I think it sad because the dungeon was great and to see it destroyed is sad😭 and all I think of from the Arbiter's Grounds is Midna and the Mirror and to not even see the frame of it just kills me. I wish they had Ordon village in ruins at least and only Link's house undamaged do you know how much that would make me feel happy inside?!😭😭😭 Why Nintendo why?!

Honestly! Because it finally took away any hope I had left that the mirror could be restored and that we could see midna again...It would be so interesting if we saw midna again! Would she think that the new link is still her link? What would it be like?
@gypsy70163 жыл бұрын
Well it could possibly still be buried under the sand... And botw is known to have scientists and researchers. there is a possibility that the gerudo or the Zelda could have it dug up. But for botw 2 snippets we have seen so far.. I don't think that will happen. But also a possibility for future installments? They may have no drive to dig it up because it's just ruins. Or just an Easter egg. Remember that this game is supposed to be a mashing of all the games back into one time line? I think. Or Nintendo's just really messy trying to shove all the refrances in. So just as the twilight mirror frame could be there, there is a chance it wouldn't, because it doesn't exist. Remember that in twilight princess all the gerudo were drove out of the land or killed because of the crimes they committed under Gannon's rule with the whole war thing. But in breath of the wild they are back in force. It could be that the gerudo were driven off then simply came back, but we don't know that it hasn't been confirmed. So just how the gerudo vanished in twilight... There is a chance that twilight could be wiped from existence in botw. And yes I know there is a twilight princess look alike mirror. Again, possibility of it being an Easter egg. Conclusion? Could go either way.

I kinda wish castle town was alive in BotW. Just something about it being full of busy activities etc just hits a nostalgic note because of OoT and TP. It becomes quite a cental go to point in the game. Kakariko and Hateno just don't quite cut it. However it would completely go against the main storyline of Hyrule being in decay for 100 years.

Revali Yeah I agree. It seems like a lot of people were confused by the ending, but maybe that's because it's not really over. I'm leaning more towards BotW being in the Failed/Decline timeline (where most of the games have been set), with the references to TP and WW merely being that, references. In the case of locations/structures, it's likely that some of them simply existed around the time of OoT, and were just "unseen" due to them not being thought up of yet. For one, Aonuma did mention something about it being set in a timeline where Ganon had appeared the most, and the only one with him appearing numerous times is the Decline timeline. It even fits with how in 2 games from that era, Ganon is returned to life as a mindless monster (first in the combined Oracles games, then again in Link between Worlds where Yuga hijacks his body and power). As for Zelda's speech during Link's knighting, I'm thinking that's just a cleverly worded speech that happens to refer to the three games and their overall themes.

I always loved the design of TP's Hyrule Castle and I loved exploring the inside of BOTW's, it's a shame we can only really see it as this destroyed shadowy structure for the entirety of the game, it must have been jaw dropping in its prime. I also think BOTW's castle looks like it was built into a hill or mountain, not built up, but I'm not sure how most of the large structures in this game were built. You'd think the Great Plateau was a natural structure but it's surrounded on most sides by artificial walls for a purpose we'll likely never know.

ReushK Twilight Princess is definitely not the better game. However I do like TP- Midna is one of the best Zelda characters ever. BoTW was sorely lacking more interesting characters, and a cohesive storyline, and the voice acting, though campy, sucked. I'm gonna play TP again :)
@acerhythm70267 жыл бұрын
Andrew Wood I thought TP was way better. The mazes and puzzles in each dungeon were difficult but not boring, and the game, while not entirely big from a botw standpoint, had the best and biggest dungeons all together in every zelda game. The music also puts botw to bed. The ending to TP was also way better then both botw endings, and the side quests also kept you pretty busy. botw was ambitious and may have changed the zelda formula, but from a game standpoint id enjoy playing through TP again than botw. botw is kind of a one-time playthough thing, that you come back to to get things you missed before you hung it up. TP you can go back to and play entirely again without any shame in deleting a profile, and thats what makes a better game for me.

They were very different takes on Zelda. Breath of the Wild was primarily about the overworld, which is easily the best of any Zelda game. I think by contrast Twilight Princess had the strongest dungeons and bosses of any Zelda game. On the whole, I preferred BotW because I felt it was a smoother game that avoided some of the weaker parts of Twilight Princess, such as that ridiculous beetle collecting to unlock new areas.

I'm sure somebody has already noted this but the Hyrule Castle from TP was completely destroyed at the end of that game, so the royal family definitely weren't just adding on to the old one! Beyond that I also like to think of every "Hyrule" as iterative and individual. I think it's necessary given the split timeline of the series (if you want to buy into that timeline that is!) The great thing about Zelda is that it can be so many different things to so many different people. Thanks for the video! I love this stuff :)

I wished you'd included Hateno Village; I know there's no Hateno in TP, but if you look at its location, size, and how it's situated near a forest and how it has a river running through it in the exact same way, I think Hateno Village may just be Ordon Village in the far, far distant future. It's even somewhat close to Faron Woods. It's obviously not a super solid comparison, but it's my headcanon at least
@StarlasAiko7 жыл бұрын
There is another location. The Forest temple north of link's village has the symbol of the Kokiri on all the doors. While it is the wrong location, being in the southwest, of hyrule, south of the Gerudo desert instead of being in the southeast like in ocarina or northwest like in Link to the past and breath to the Wild, the Forest temple seems to be composed of two very large trees, a smaller one at the entrance before a larger tree in the back. In spite of the miss-location, i would argue that the Forest temple in twilight is the insides of the old and the new deku trees from ocarina. The deku tree in breath of the Wild would be even younger than baby deku from ocarina.

I'm kind of over trying to find spots in Zelda games in other games. Nintendo teases a bunch, but never puts any real effort in it. I feel likes it's a missed target because there's obviously a HUGE demographic for it. I'd love to see more things like the Ranch Ruins that match up exactly to scale AND be 100% canon. With the amount of data games have these days, Nintendo could've had an entire scale OoT, WW, or TP inside of the game completely in ruins, plus an actual game on top of that. lol.

Pretty sure Kakariko was the same between OoT and TP, but I guess it would be harder to notice if you were used to the inverted Wii version of the game. The landmarks, the location on the map, and the entrance to Death Mountain and the Graveyard are all as they were in OoT. So what I´m thinking is that for BotW, Kakariko Village is actually the forgotten / hidden Sheikah village from TP, all rebuilt and re-inhabited by a Neo-Sheikah people. I haven´t looked too much into how that would coincide with the map location, but it´s definitely "in the mountains", in a way. Whatever happened to the old Kakariko Village in the over 10 000 years that passed since TP, I can´t say.
@koollink41147 жыл бұрын
steaktastebetterpill i'm pretty sure that the hidden village from tp is actually kakariko from oot, the sign at the entrance says "old kakariko" in hylian, and the old sheika lady impaz said that her old sheika ancestors built the village

coming back to this, i think the ONLY place from twilight princess is the arbiters grounds. the place may be destroyed, but it also very well can be buried under the sand after MANY years. where is the rest of twilight princess? beyond the bottom left edge of the map. gerudo desert was in a high-up spot and was massive. the arbiter's grounds location matches up with where it is in botw if you were to view it from there. what happened to twilight princess hyrule? not sure.

At three its the same,just that ganon destroyed the walls and nintendo just made a new texture. And for me the destroyed places are cool(if u dont agree with me ok)and you can explore them in a different way then Before,beacuse they are different from the other games like TP.

Itd be nice to hear a lore breakdown for Biggoron. Why was he the only giant goron in zelda games
@RMFHGaming4 жыл бұрын
Actually, that would be a rather interesting topic. I’m currently looking into it as I type this out. Might be able to make a video explaining this.

3:52 what if midna left a mirror of twilight for link to come visit her, that’d be a cool thing in the game though it probably wouldn’t be possible

Oh hey, you fixed that audio problem with the transition bit Also it should be pointed out that the fountain was also in Ocarina Of Time.

I know that for about a decade and a half or more now there's been a _huge_ push by some fans to insist that all the Zelda games take place in the same world, and which was later picked up by Nintendo when they tried their best to retcon some sort of "timeline". But it doesn't work for me. The changes in geography and architecture and even biology and wildlife from one game to the next just doesn't make any sense. What _would_ make sense is that almost all the Zelda games (with a few exceptions such as Majora's Mask and A Link Between Worlds) take place in "mirror" universes. They resemble each other as _alternate dimensions_ in fiction often do. This would explain why the Bridge of Eldin exists in more than one game world but is markedly different (tearing down a massive bridge and rebuilding it almost exactly but not quite just in order to extend it seems highly dubious to me, especially given how little Hylians venture beyond their villages and how few great works they make over the decades/centuries/millennia). And how much does Death Mountain shift location and change size? How can the Rito come into existence (somehow replacing the Zora in an ocean world) then disappear, then reappear an age later _alongside_ the Zora? And what of the Gerudo, who don't even exist in the majority of games even though Ganon still does?

I find it's interesting that there are two Castle towns and breath of the wild. The one from ocarina of Time on the plateau and then the other one from Twilight princess in front of the castle

Love your videos but I really wish you'd do more side by side comparisons rather than switching from one to another. I keep having to go back and replaying things to see the comparisons.

A big part of Twilight princess was that it had to fit on a Gamecube mini disc. So almost everything had to be shrunken down.

I wouldn't say BoTW is after Twilight princess, since lon lon ranch is in BoTW, but not in twilight princess. I would say BoTW is in-between OOT and TP. Also, another note, Saria, Mido, and some other kokiri is referenced in the lost woods, they are referenced in TP, so BoTW has to be closer to OOT than to TP on the timeline.
@RMFHGaming7 жыл бұрын
+Spike Maan Ganondorf from Oot is the same exact Ganondorf from TP. Therefore Botw can't fit in between Oot and TP. I'm still on the fence about the timeline but I can say 100% that Botw is after TP or any game relevant to it's placement in the timelines.
