I've always wondered about that carcass with eagles verse, you did a really good job explaining it, thank you! It always gives me chills hearing the verses about Christ coming on the white horse with the armies of heaven, let those who read the words of that prophesy be blessed! As for the topic of rapture and when in relation to the tribulation. It says had those days not been cut short, not even the ELECT would survive. So surly that means some of us will still be around for the tribulation right? I don't really know, its such a hard one. To the question of who the persecution pertains too, in this context I believe Jesus was referring to Christians. The reason is that while his disciples were ethnically Jews, once they accepted him they no longer followed Old T law. So being persecuted “for my namesake” would only apply to believers of Christ. The Jews don’t believe Jesus is God so it wouldn’t make sense. That’s why the Pharisees had a problem with him and his disciples because they weren’t keeping the Sabbath or other OT laws. The disciples faith in him is what applies this to Christians.

Our US troops won most of the battles in the Vietnam War. Some would capture an area , the government would give it back and our troops would have to go take it back a few weeks later. . We signed the Paris Peace Accords along with North and South Vietnam signing. The US military withdrew and left the country as per the peace treaty. North Vietnam broke the agreement by moving back into South Vietnam. I don't believe we lost this war. To touch on Chili's question: God chose Israel to reveal himself to the world. Israel defeated the other nations "gods" to show that God is THE God. They also had different customs, everything was to separate God from the other "gods" of the time. With Jesus, gentiles (non jews) were allowed into the picture. PS: I will add that the ancient peoples after a while FEARED the God of Israel and knew what He did in Egypt and throughout with the miracles and wars. You will read about that in various places throughout old testament. God also used people and kings of other nations than Israel that chose to worship Him because they knew about what He did with Israel.

Brian Parrot2323, be careful how you use the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When God sent the tribes of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan under Joshua, He excluded Levi and set it apart as the priestly tribe. But since He previously split Joseph into two tribes through his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim, excluding Joseph as a tribe, the land was thus divided 12 ways into the 12 tribes of Israel. In Revelation 7:5-8 there is another variation of the 12 tribes listed, an order distinct from every other listing in the Bible. God will apparently put His brand, or seal, on 12,000 from each of the following tribes: Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. The list omits Dan and Ephraim, but it lists Levi and Joseph. Many theories as to why have been put forth, but no reason is given. The important point to draw from the list is that Israel will be regathered in the end-times! They are, after all, not the Church and certainly have not been replaced by the Church in God’s covenantal plan. God’s sealing of the 144,000 from each tribe in the end-times will simply be Him fulfilling His promise to Abraham (Gen. 13:14-17; 15:1-5, 18-21; 17:1-8, 15-19; 18:17-19; 22:15-18; cf. Rom. 11:26). The Apostle Paul revealed to the Church in Rome what God was doing with Gentile believers in Christ and Israel who had rejected Christ. Israel’s rejection of Christ did not in any way mean that God had abrogated His covenant with Abraham. It simply meant that Israel had been put on hold until the gospel had reached the full number of Gentiles. Paul wrote, “I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery-so that you will not be wise in your own estimation-that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, ‘The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob’ ” (Rom. 11:25-26). It is of utmost importance that Christians today remind ourselves that “the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Rom. 11:29); so, God must bring Israel back and draw them to the Christ they originally rejected and crucified. And He will. He has to! If God failed to draw Israel to Himself based on their disobedience, replacing them with the Church as some believe, then what would stop God from replacing the Church with some other entity in light of how rebellious Christians have been through the centuries? All believers must trust God and His promises. Israel will indeed come to faith in Jesus of Nazareth, their Messiah and Christ. Revelation 7:1-8 proves this! God, in no uncertain terms, plainly says that 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel will be sealed with His brand, and they will preach the gospel to the world after the Church has been raptured, enduring through the Tribulation (cf. Rev. 14). All of those believers who come to faith in Christ after the Tribulation begins can thank God’s sealed believers from Israel who will preach the gospel to the lost world at that time.

When he returns his Glory and who he is will be revealed. The book of Revelation is the “revealing of Jesus.” His first coming, His Glory was veiled from us being able to see it. Those that saw him, saw a man, and did not see him to be fully God. The understanding that he was the Son of God was revealed to them by the Spirit or by his teaching.

I think that we are close to Matt. 24:7 myself, which talks about a time of wars, revolutions and natural disasters. Right now many nations are dependent on the USA for their security, thus if there is a civil war in America, many nations are gonna look to take advantage of the situation. IMO the world is on a powder keg and is set up to have multiple wars. Bad American leadership makes the world unstable. We have seen covid and they are working on new versions of that, so plagues could be incoming. There have been a few earthquakes and nasty weather. The discussion you had at the 1:10:00 mark was essentially the Premillennialism vs. Amillennialism debate. Premillennialism says there will be a literal 1000 year reign by Jesus on earth when he returns while the Amillennialist says we are currently in the “kingdom” age ruling and reigning spiritually with Christ and the 1000 year reign is just symbolic. Many Protestant denominations came out of the Catholic Church during the Protestant reformation in the 1500’s. They left most Catholic doctrine behind but many of them kept Catholic interpretation of prophecy including Amillennialism. The bottom line on Bible prophecy is you either take it literally or symbolically. Israel’s rebirth as a physical nation in 1948 should’ve ended the debate on the issue but people and denominations have been entrenched for hundreds of years on eschatology doctrine (end times doctrine). If you take the Bible literally, Matthew 24 hasn’t happened yet (along with Revelation and a whole host of other prophetic scripture). The safest bet is to take it all literally and trust it. The boys who are trying to turn it all into allegory or saying everything already happened are putting their heads in the sand.

The terms "Jews" and "Israel" are not interchangeable. Jews refers to Israelites specifically from the House of Judah (2 tribes of Judah & Benjamin, as well as some of the Levites). Israel refers to all 12 tribes of Jacobs descendants, who as promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are a "multitude of nations".

If you are chosen by the Father, the Son (shepherd) will come to find you. Jesus states that He only receives those given to Him by the Father, but also relates Himself as a shepherd that goes to find the lost sheep. In other words, Jesus is our link to the Father. it is thru Jesus that we REALLY get to know the person God is. It also gives us a real embodiment of God that is not pure Spirit. Someone relatable to us that we can look at and say, "that is my KING, my LORD."
