Yo this is spot on, you got all the chords voiced the exact same as the original. You are right the song has a different chord progression, the songs in A-flat major but they use that gsharp minor and bmajor a lot so they use both accidentals. Great work dude

Yes, yes, yes! Really diggin the tutorials man. question for you: Do you find light synth-weighted keys a hinderance when you play, compared to your fully-weighted piano keys of your Korg/Yamaha? I'm learning on the synth I have now, but thinking about investing in something with proper keys... Also thinking I should just use the damn keyboard I've got!
@TheNaekid11 жыл бұрын
I think you should learn on weighted keys - but the nonweighted allows you to play in a really rhythmic style and you can do things with non weighted keys that you cant do with weighted! Like with the vintage keyboards - clavinet, electric piano, and synths!

@TheNaekid11 жыл бұрын
Alexandra Pickens Really big LOL. The songs that make it usually have either a ton of views (750,000+) on the official song, or they are just too catchy and I just have to transcribe it.

I think you did a great job, personally. A lot of times with R&B, especially Neo Soul (this song is a prime example of Neo Soul), the chords are kinda weird or don't make a lot of sense, as I'm still trying to grasp it myself. You move a little too quickly, I must admit, and having to pause and rewind every other chord is a little annoying, but overall great job, dude. Sounds great, once I get it down I'll upload a vid of myself.
@TheNaekid10 жыл бұрын
Cool man! Thanks for the feedback!! Keep on jammin!
@KenNoLastName9 жыл бұрын
Matthew Olden yeah, neo soul has a lotta dissonant chords lol.
@mjolden9 жыл бұрын
KenNoLastName That's what makes it more beautiful than the average progression lol. They go against the grain of music theory, so it really puts the "soul" in neo soul.
@mjolden9 жыл бұрын
***** It's funny, cause I figured out how to play it already lol, But thanks anyway, bro.

Maaaan.....you are a good teacher....but JUS5TTEACH..!! All that mental exercising and wrestling over notes and chords is DRAINING...!! Play the song...teach the chord progression and stick with what you are doing...opposed to second guessing yourself and confusing most us...!! You play a chord...then change the chord...as you break down and analyze and debate with YOURSELF bout which one is right..????? Thanks anyways
@TheNaekid4 жыл бұрын
Lol - you are absolutely right. Sorry, and I hope to do better in life in the future :)
@brandonwoods853510 жыл бұрын
when you show the cords you just quickly tap the keys of each chord so fast that i cant even tell what your hitting because i dont know where each note on the keyboard is. and you keep rambling on about who knows what playing other chords that aren't a part of the song. just teach the song one way in one form as is and show the notes of the chords clearly and please stop rambling its frustrating trying to pause the video a million times just to see what you played.
@TheNaekid10 жыл бұрын
lol I love rambling though!! ramble ramble ramble.

Also! for less than the price of a candy bar at 7-11 you can buy the chord sheet, which spells out every note I play :) check the link in the video description.
