I think the pressure overlay on the ice is pretty hidious, tbh It would be nice if there was a way to turn it off. And the system itself seems like its gonna be kinda problematic. The ai also seems to be kinda off, defense is looking super odd

Pressure system is the most easy thing to tweak. If enough people complain and have the same sympathy's than it will feel different come by January 2024. I'm not worried tbh. EA fucked up by not doing line changes for 6s and 3s though. It would make the pros/cons of the pressure system more realistic.

I can already tell the pressure system is gonna get abused in higher HUT divisions. It's gonna be constant ragging in the offensive zone until you either chase the puck carrier to the corner or let the pressure bar fill up.

They fixed that, you can't build pressure by just skating/passing the puck. You have to take shots/make hits to fill the bar.

NHL needs to up their marketing strategy of how great the game is these days. Mostly how they schedule primetime matchups and playoff games. Especially now with McJesus just entering his prime, and Bedard finally playing in the league. Get the game more popular, maybe 2k picks up chel again since espn finally did, and get Nasher to 1M.

Only thing my mom could afford was tape and replacement blades for my stick..I was always the best player on my team, varsity as a freshman with a team full of ringers. I played 1 game, scored 1 goal, and never played since.. I got laid and really really popular literally overnight. I fucked up, I could’ve been Home grown talent for Junior Kings..

A way to solve the celebration theatrics would be to make it appear only if you hit a celly button. If it's not pressed it's just a normal team celebration, or give an option where you can shut it off. Also it would be nice to have a gap between goal and cut scene. Like, give it 5 seconds before it cuts instead of right away.

This was almost 100% an accurate depiction of a Edmonton Oilers hockey game, dominate for 80% of the game then almost lose in the last 20% when the goalie decides to lay an egg. NHL 24 is extremely realistic.

For the goal animation it should give you like 3 seconds of control to pick your celebration and then you start the celebration and after the 3 cuts to mid celebration with whatever you picked

They should make the sky hook based on energy and pressure level. Like if there’s 0 pressure and your player has energy he’ll flip it out no problem. But if they have full pressure it should be a little whiff like it is now

the one issue i have with the current state of the pressure system, is when you're playing 3v3 world of chel, and face teams that will just rag the puck in your zone and wait until they get that perfect shot, how easy will it be for the pressure system to fill up and make my tendie do stupid stuff. Like if i'm staying in position the entire time and not giving them much of a chance is it still gonna make it easier for them and make it harder for me to control the tendie at all?

I know it's not a big thing, but I wish they'd change the goalie skates. Most goalies don't use cowlings anymore. If it's as small as being able to choose between cowling or no cowling that'd be fine with me. Again not a huge thing, but would be a small pleasing aesthetic to have in the game. Leather straps on the pads too. I think Fleury might be the only one with leather straps all the way up. The Bauer pads in the game are the only ones that don't have leather straps on them.

Big world of chl player here, the 2 changes that would make chl 24 the best in years is: 1. Having the option to control the AI player (Like an ANY in FIFA pro clubs). That option would be game changing. It’s frustrating how the AI helps win/loss games. 2. Customizing the AI’s names. It’s enough of this Tony Jackson, Jeff Lee, Amar Gill, Derek Saunders, Andy Slater, Jerome Murphy bullshit (to name a few). Is this too much to ask for? Interested to see what everyone’s feedback is that plays world of chl.
