Why? There's nothing wrong with technology. The problem is gullible users, not technology.

2 factor traps you when you change phone numbers. Maybe they should protect your profile after you spent all that money

or when criminals swap your SIM. That's why I refuse to enable 2FA on my apple ID. Apple keeps annoying me to "upgrade" my Apple ID (ie. enable 2FA) and I keep rejecting it.

this isn't hacking. It's social engineering. You can spend a trillion $$$ on technology and still unable to protect stupid users.
