My mans averaged 30 a game with 6 assists on 50-40-90 splits taking 11 3s a game, leading the league in scoring and steals, led the warriors to 73 wins, broke his own 3 point record, ended up making 400 3s which is still unheard of to this day, won mvp, and however you feel about his postseason play he still had solid averages and some big games, not to mention leading a 3-1 comeback, and coming up just one game short of another finals win

2021 Curry is better than any other version of curry. He was constantly double teamed from the halfcourt line sometimes from the opposite 3pt line, put up insane numbers and broke records Just an example was may/april where he averaged 40ppg on 50/50/88 splits qhile dropping 10+ 3pts in a game in consecutive games (there have been 5x this has happened, steph has 3 of those and 2 in that season). Easily the greatest offensive player ever
@jjsjrs9978 ай бұрын
You could argue that and 2021 was my fav curry season, but 2016 was still his best offensive season. If u think about it, he avg 30 on 50/45/90 compared to his 2021 season with 32 on 48/42/90. The only difference is, steph sat out in most of the 4th qt games during the 2016 season and whos to say he wouldn't have avg 3+ more pts if he played those 4qt
@lucidstudious7508 ай бұрын
@jjsjrs997 context matters. Curry wad 2% off of a 50/40/90 season on a 8 man g league roster. Also without injuries he was on pace for 5th seed. He broke a couple records from his 2016 season as well. All of this while being heavily guarded more then any other time in his career There Is a very legit argument for 2021 being his best season and one if the goat offensive seasons ever

Stephen Curry is an anomaly in the game of basketball. He is a threat anywhere on the court, difficult to stop and almost unstoppable. Even though his peers may envy him, they secretly fear him and can't admit that facing Curry in his prime during the three-point era is like facing MJ in his prime. Despite the denial from others, he is a legend in the game of basketball who has revolutionized the system. He was so unstoppable that he was copied by others. Every team now shoots three-pointers, and every team has a copycat player like Chef trying to copy the success of the GSW. That's why the slinger from GSW who took down many Goliaths in the NBA will forever be marked in history. He is the man who changed the game for good He is Stephen Curry, my Goat, the Goat of this 3 point era 👌

Steph Curry will always be my favourite player imagine if he won the 2016 finals and also the 2019 finals if KD didn’t get injured he would’ve had 6 rings definitely putting him in the goat debate
@SaryM297 ай бұрын
Honestly, I love his legacy and his playstyle, he's definitely my favorite player, but I don't think that would've put him in the GOAT debate... While still being unprecedently consistent for a pure shooter, specially because he's much more than just a shooter, he did suffer by being kinda inconsistent throughout some times of his career. And although he's not as dependent on his team as most of the other shooters, who used to be just specialized role players, he does need them as he's not as tall and long to see everything and pass it to wherever he wants, nor strong enough to handle or burst through double teams, so it's way harder for a player like him to "carry" a team like LeBron did. But for me the biggest hit in his legacy was obviously KD, because now there's a big "slice" of those championships where they winning was just "the standard", the Warriors were undoubtely stacked, and to top it all off, KD took all the Finals MVPs with him with his greater consistency, and rightfully so, even though it was still Curry's team. It's almost funny how KDs move kinda "ruined" 3 legends' careers at once, since he's never won anything without Steph, took away part of the meaning of his accomplishments by making a team virtually impossible to win against, and also generated the whole "finals loser" argument against LeBron, even when he was being the clear better player on there court and there wasn't much else to do against that team. He did bounce back marvelously by winning without KD and getting his first finals MVP many years after what we considered to be his prime, but the hit was still pretty big, specially considering they lost in 2016 and Steph didn't snatch even one of those finals MVPs trophies while KD was there. If he didn't have those instances and also had been able to carry that injured 2019 team, then he'd have a 5-peat and would definitely be at least up there with Kareem. Unfortunately injuries were always a part of his career as well.

@@SaryM29your comment is great. I'm die hard Dubs lover but i recognize your opinion looks bright here. Maybe it tarnished in a way THE 3 faces of our NBA era but i think it's more of hater side of thinking. As Curry lover, i still think we were better on 2016 but Lebron was always superior to everyone. It's just like that.
@SaryM297 ай бұрын
@@samwisehuluberlu2210 In my opinion, more than being better, it's about how the league had adapted. LeBron is a basketball genius, and for me that's what defined that series. Imo, Stephen Curry evolved a lot and still got way better than his 2016 year, it's just that the league caught up. The whole NBA was lost trying to deal with it back in 2015-2016, and only one guy, who finished the finals averaging almost 5 steals + blocks, figured it out.

i will never understand why people hate and underrate steph just because they don't like his style of play. he is an unbelievably talented and either #1 or #2 pg all time depending on if you favor magic johnson or steph curry's style of play. steph's brand of basketball revolutionized the game, whether you like it or not. he is the best pure shooter of all time and one of the best off the ball at creating havoc and maing plays that I have ever seen. his catch and shoot is a weapon that wreaked havoc on the league and left an impact that might only be rivaled by wilt and kareem (who was so dominant in college they had to ban dunking and change the rules)

I mean, the raptors wouldn’t have won if warriors didn’t lose everybody to injuries during the playoffs. Curry’s basketball is more than just dominance, ESPECIALLY for his size. His way of playing is very unselfish, and very much a team player. It wouldn’t be hard for him to shatter records if he held the ball all the time in his prime, especially when none of the teams knew how to guard him. I hate to say that size matters, but I with the very nature and design of basketball, it does. Just a tall guy standing there already becomes a screen. If a tall guy falls on you, you just might break a bone. The height of the official hoop never changes, so simply by being taller, you have better reach for the rim and less effort to be precise in scoring and rebounds. There’s simply no denying that in such a physical sport, size matters. However, if we are talking about the sheer skill alone, both game IQ and technical skill, or if we have a pound for pound ranking between the players, Curry would simply undeniably be the absolute Greatest Of All Time. It also turns into a different playing field if we only count shooting games like horse. Curry would slaughter all.

Steph is responsible for my (and I suspect many others) renewed interest in watching the NBA. To be able to watch him, I subscribed to NBA League Pass in 2014. I hadn't had this kind of interest since the 1980's, when I tried to watch every Boston Celtics game just to see what Larry Bird would do next. Now it's, "what will Curry do tonight?" because on any given night, he can put up a dozen threes and hit one from half court, in addition to breaking someone's ankles with his handle, or dazzling with his behind-the-back passes for assists. Sure, Jordan averaged 30 pts a game for his career, but he was fast, quick, tall and had hops. He could take anyone he wanted to the rim. But that's nowhere near as fun as watching a guy put up a three and then turn around and talk to the opposing team's bench before the ball even goes through the hoop. He's the baddest player on the planet, and the most fun to watch. Nobody else is even close.
