I think they should have nominate the Royal Barbados police Band for these many many many years of service to the community and for all the ceremonial parades and events.Forty one years ago I use to be part of the independence day parade and other parades so that is how long and even longer that those men have been doing they craft.Surely someone should have nominate the band and to be en back in those days guys like Sargeant Keith Ellis Anderson Salters Griffith and others numerous to mentioned was also performing as back up Trumpet Saxophone etc at the many Calypso tents from the inception of Crop Over.

The band is extraordinary from the day it was formed The Royal Barbados Police Band was founded in 1889 it's one of the oldest band in the world. They tour all over the world first to St Lucia in 1945. In 1962 they made history as the only military band to broadcast via satellite while performing at the Ed Sullivan show, it sure must have been a honour to do so. Keep up the good work.👍💯❤
