Nepal needs 150K army and 145k police+armed force for managing domestic security. For external conflicts we are not in that position to conflict. So diplomacy is only way we have, to protect our country at present stage.

I am an enthusiast of aviation along with the aviation sector of Nepal Army too. Here are the corrections of the data: 1) A single Britten Norman Islander (BN-2) you mentioned is no longer there in service in NA. It was phased out 4 years ago, so there's no BN-2 in the fleet. 2) The number of Augusta Westland helicopters is 2 not 1. 1 is used for vvip+rescue and other one for rescue only. 3) The SA 315 you showed is not SA 315 that helicopter was sold 6-7 years ago. The representation of SA 315 is of light utility lama helicopter. 4) You didn't mention the Bell 407 gxp helicopters. We have two of them. 5) The airbus H125 helicopters number is 2 not 1. The details of the army fleet with their respective regisration number is given in the reply section. Hope you correct it.

To be fair and honest, Nepal currently is not in any situation of conflict with any countries. So, Nepal may really not need a strong military perhaps for now. Also, it would be internally and internationally a controversial move to increase the militay for no reason as it may signal something else & it could probably lead to consequences. If Nepal had too much manpower in army, that would possibly create a difficulty in handling them as well. So, military should only be improved considering every aspect, not just current needs. Like example, we can look Pakistan that's controlled by it's own army as the country always focused on it's army for it's safety. We can spend our economy on so much more things. However, national security matters always, both on diplomatic levels & military levels too. Nepal must have the capability to respond to any foreign attack with vengeance. 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵

So nepal have more china threat then india.

There is no need to waste money in military like India,China and especially usa . Instead of being a powerful country with big military and wasting money in that sector Nepal could be transformed into heaven like Switzerland, new Zealand etc
