Back from my mini-break to upload some more KZbin content :) Really want to get more into the Automation scope. Even though I am a complete noob I really feel like it is the future of networking and would like to share my journey with you guys! NB: Where I tell you to change the vga to QXL make sure you change the "STD" string to "QXL" not VGA!

Any chance you have done stack switching on Eve-ng lab projects

Good job! One notice: the command "...unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions" makes necessary files executable. It's about IOU (Cisco IOU/IOL for example). It's .bin images there. But we create .qcow2 virtual disk. When we add Linux node on the workspace EVE-NG create a temporary clone virtioa.qcow2 with necessary permissions. So we can exclude this command. Just for notice. And sorry for my English :D

Thanks for the tip, will keep that in mind for future imports that I do in EVE-NG :D!

I was looking for something like this. What about connecting your topology with external VMs created with Workstation? Thanks a lot for sharing!!!
@TheNetworkBerg3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nicolas, you should be able to use the Cloud "networks" in EVE-NG to get to other VMs created in VMware. So just add a new NIC on your EVE-NG server and have it connect in the same range as your external VM then just give pnet1 (Cloud1) the IP in that range and you should be able to access the VM directly from an EVE-NG host.

Hi, I followed the steps in the vedio. However, wehen I start linux only the command prompt displays not the GUI that I want as in the vedio. If you have a solution, kindly, provide me with it. Thanks.

How do you expand the Linux HDD afterwards?
@TheNetworkBerg3 жыл бұрын
Hey Phil, I haven't expanded an HDD for a host afterwards as that hasn't been a requirement, what you could try and do is add another virtio image to the directory of the linux image. The exact command should look like this: /opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img create -f qcow2 virtiob.qcow2 100G Obviously the 100G is the drive size that you want to add addtionally, you could make this 10, or 20, or whatever you want to expand this with. If that doesn't work then I might suggest reaching out to the EVE-NG support team directly to get that information :)
