I love this! I get it totally. Your collection makes mine look small (ergo, less guilt on my end) by comparison. I love your stories and how you came to own those amazing pieces of art. I don't have cars, watches, etc to collect, so my collections are guitars and guitar related gear (amps, pedals, etc). I'm sure you've heard the same complaints I have ("don't you have enough guitars?," "don't you already have that one?," etc). Only a guitarist/guitar lover understands... I also do guitar trades. It usually starts with me trying to sell them on FB marketplace, then getting approached with a trade/finding another guitar I want and getting some amazing pieces. Nothing beats finding/getting a great piece to add to your collection. Anyway, keep on being you! Rock on brother! 🤘

Haha. My buddy norm I grew up with had complete sets of the alpha, beta, and unlimited, all of the legend series, the dark and Arabian knights. Haven't spoken to him in 15 years but his collection has to be worth 7 figures. I had an alpha icy manipulator once but that's was about as crazy as it got. Maybe a mox emerald for 2 hours before I traded it

I was holding steady at a dozen for many years. Then it started. 12 became 20, then 30, then.........50 if you count my bass and lap steel. I'm at the one must go to bring one in stage. Not only do you need the room to store the guitars, half of mine are not in cases, so I have to store them as well.

Two years ago, we encapsulated our crawl space. Now they are under there and it stays between 68-72 year-round, no humidity, it's pretty awesome. I have my best 15 in my office in cases just to keep them protected. I still love the lacquer smell on some of them!

One at a time. When I pick one up and feel that the strings are getting crusty or needs some love I pretty much immediately restring and set it up. I use elixirs which last a long time and I have a climate controlled studio, so it's not that bad. Just maintenance. There are certainly some nights I'll bang out 4 or 5 guitars at a time, but usually it's like one a week if that. Rock on! 🤘 thank you for watching. Please subscribe and join the madness. 🙌

I tend to trade more now and I've been trying to trade up so I've kept my numbers pretty close because I'm currently maxed out. It also helps that Sam ash and prs are now sending me guitars so now I don't have to worry about making new episodes based around my instruments despite having more than enough
