That song is disgusting. For real. Do you understand Spanish? I’m not asking sarcastically. He dedicates this song to his late mother and all late mothers. In Spanish you never ever use the verb “amar” to express love for your relatives like your mother. In Spanish the verb amar means to love intimately. A romantic love. A love that you only have for your spouse. That’s it. In this song he sings about amar his mother? He says “tarde o temprano you voy estar contigo para seguir amandonos.” Which translates into “sooner or later I will be with you so we can continue loving each other romantically.” With his mom? DISGUSTING. Unless he liked incest. For real. Gross. To tell a family member that you love them you say “querer” You cannot use amar and querer interchangeably. The reality is that he wrote this song for his late boyfriend. But he continues to say he dedicated this song to his mother. Gross.

This is the #1 song of all time of Juan Gabriel. This song never fails to make me cry my face off. So much emotion that brings out to many of us that have lost their love one's especially a mother. For me ever since my grampa died I always wanted to go back to Costa Rica and sing it to my grandmother at her grave sight. I got the chance to do it in 2005 and never had I sang with my heart pooring out like it did. Now I sing it to my mother that died in 2009 and I just sing it while pooring out my heart. This is the gift that Juan Gabriel gave us music that we can poor or emotions out, his music always makes his audience fans feel like that he wrote his music in behalf our life history. Such a gift he surely was and still is.

He's probably the best artist we ever had here in Mexico. He's a legend and this song is like an anthem for any mexican who's ever lost a loved one. His performances are pure perfection. you just entered a world of pain brother. Juan Gabriel is the only one that can make any man cry at anytime. His songs are full with love but also full of pain. This man had a very tragic life and you can feel the pain in every single song he ever sung. It’s also heartbreaking because this very song is something that all of us have to go through at some point in our life. Tell your mom you love her, kiss her, hug her, let her do those annoying things that embarrass you in one way or another. Appreciate this time with her that she is alive. And for those who already went through and are still going through the pain. Just know, eventually you will see her again, the wait is gonna be an immense pain but it will come.

But you just to understand the context of this song. He was rejected and left in an orphan house by his mom. He never got his mom love or response. Even in life Juan Gabriel being a well known singer, he try to get his mom love, gifts etc and nothing. She passed away and even by them he always loved her. very sad song.
