Yes those rats are well taken care of but are those vaccinated? No, locals are doing this (spending time with those rats) from long time hence may be they have developed immunity against all the diseases that can transmit from them. I don't think this family would have that. Indians in general have better immunity compared to western people. I'd recommend not to engage much with these rightly did by this family. Also alway buy water and stay away from street food. Hope you've great stay in India.

Actually they aren't worshipped the deity is worshipped and the rats are considered her sons since i think she lost her sons and then got a boon that she will get all her sons back but as rats ..... so no one disturbs them and many leave food for them and apparently they are found in all the temples of karni mata just like monkeys are found near hanuman temples
@Enigma_14447 ай бұрын
@@Susspect69 no it's not like this, Karni mata lost her sister's son whom she considered her own son, and when this happened she got her son back and gave a order( wether you belive it or not but she did got her son back and it's all over the literature since charan clan is known for literature and history in india ) that her whole dynasty ( Charan) will get birth as a rat in her temple when they will die and when any rat died they will get birth as human in this dynasty only. So these rats are well bought up and The temple has never had an outbreak of plague, unlike other areas of India.( you can check British records too on this incident ) The rats are also not known to ever bite or attack humans in any way and they never leave the temple even though they are free to do so. Rats are respected even after they die. Jai maa karni.

But the irony is most of the westerners and many many Indians as well (because of agenda driven historical education which is continuing even till today in Indian schools and Indian media) think that Islamic Invaders and then Britishers and other western occipiers like portugees civilized India and taught Indian how to build, cook and many other things which can not be far from trurth. Its funny to even think that Islamic Invaders wio were basically nomads civilized India what an utter nonsense though this is true that there are many influences they and other occupiers bring in Indian culture which proved to be mostly detrimental for Indian culture specially in case of social fabric of this country but very slowly India is resurging again and people starting to take pride in their culture which they usually not just few years back and leftists in India are just truing their level best to stop this. You all four look amazing your music selection is awesome enjoy your stay in India. Best wishes for you guys. Namaskar.🙏

@v.t.6890 the art and architecture in India was influenced by so much more than Islam! Centuries of cultural influences, as well as religious influences such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism as well as Islam date back to the 3rd millennium. It is what makes the entire Indian subcontinent, including what is now India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and at times eastern Afghanistan so rich and diverse! The famous detached Lion Capital of Ashoka, with four animals, was adopted as the official Emblem of India after Indian independence. It is Buddhist from the Mauryan period!

These vlogs are making me miss India so terribly! What great experiences for the boys and yourselves, too. There is a Ganesha temple near Varanasi I went to about a decade ago which also has a lot of fairly tame rats, though not at nearly the same scale. They were all considered Ganesha’s vehicle so it was forbidden to harm them. But I love rats and once had a rat as a pet, so I loved it. I’ll have to visit Karni Mata one day. My own kiddo might feel a little differently about the rats though! He hasn’t had the benefit of growing up on a rural farm. Looking forward to the next one! And one of these days I hope you make it to the northeast, as I think you would absolutely love West Bengal, Assam, Nagaland, and Meghalaya. You can see endangered rhinos in Kaziranga national park in Assam, it’s absolutely beautiful there. Sikkim is also great, from what I hear, though I haven’t made it there yet. One day!

Finding those out-of-the-way places (like your first visit today) is one of the joys of going by your own itinerary. I feel that the quieter places are richer experiences than places where the busy-ness of crowds mask the sense of connection. I've heard about the rat temple, well done on introducing the boys without passing on that nervousness. It's good for them to learn an approach of facts, not fear. To be confident, but with a healthy rational caution.

Another adventurous video. Enjoyed the rat temple. Loved seeing Crusoe and Sawyer feeding the rats. And I loved it when Sawyer was calling out to his John when he thought he was missing out on a Camel of ride. Can't wait until next week's video to see what the Newbys get up to.

The joy on Johns face as he shares our beautiful world with his sons is priceless thanks so much for sharing these precious memories with us. Many Parents on youtube and IG are on this band wagon of childs consent and supposed cyber danger...are not posting their sweet little one. IMO This fear mongering doesn't protect but divides humanity...thank you thank you for not being a part of this insane fear mongering movement. I so enjoy your family channel and this WONDERFUL travel channel OXOOXOXOX

Mario’s cousin’s digger - spot on! Not a fan out the rats but love the architecture and learning that there are many types of camels. Enjoying traveling with you. Cheers!
@karenlee650110 ай бұрын
I loved that about the digger, too!!!! Bless his little heart. We have camels in Australia. I have no idea if there are many different breeds. That was interesting. I am not afraid of rats. we have several neighbours with chickens, so they often run along our back fence like it's a freeway between chook yards. I don't know if i could cope with that many though!! Well done all of you!! It truly was a stretch outside comfort zones and lifetime beliefs. Yes, sanitiser and home for a shower I think.😊 ❤

Wow your boys are amazing! I would NOT have gone there, but you are right it is only because we are told rats spread diseases and are dirty, but like you we should embrace different cultures and you are amazing parents to do this with Crusoe and Sawyer. They both have no fear! Well done Tara!! (Mother fears always kick in and it’s lovely that you are sharing this with us but not stopping from doing anything!j. Crusoe is going to want a pet rat when he gets home!

Great footage of your India experience, the camel ride shots were sooo nice, what a great memory for your family. The rat temple…admire your bravery 😆 don’t think I could do it, Crusoe is fearless and I love that, I know I probably held back my children due to my own fears, not proud of that. What’s the point of visiting other countries if you don’t make an effort to understand the culture and traditions etc, well done. No judgement here. Keep having fun and making memories 😊

Ugh I hate rats. I Think your approach wth the boya was tremendous!! And , I must admit, maybe the rats aren’t all that bad after all. Thanks for the fresh approach. They are cuter and smaller than North American rats. But yes, can carry diseases! Please don’t buy a mouse😂 This India coverage is fantastic!!!!!!

On special occasions this place gets really crowded it is very hard to find transport of buses and trains bcz of huge no. of people who comes here, and the no. of rats too also increases as majority of them comes out. I also freaked out when one rat jumped on me from the top of wall.
