41:40 I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American, too. I love true crime stories. I have seen this particular Texas Ranger on several shows, especially cold cases. I have so much respect for him, as he has been instrumental in solving many cold cases.
@gjd4u2nv2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the kind words. This is my father! Thank you. He has the best reputation amongst all the Rangers and well known amongst the organization even to this day. He retired as the Assistant Chief (2nd in command) of the Rangers years after this.
@unappealingundesirable28262 жыл бұрын
@@gjd4u2nv That is so awesome, Gary! First, let me give some of my background: Composite sketches scare the LIFE out of me. I first saw a composite sketch on local Seattle news when I was 9, and it still scares me today. Then, the Green River Killer sketches scared me from when I was 10-31. The Golden State Killer's "with the headwear on" sketch gave me nightmares, until the perp was caught. The "ski cap guy" and especially the "curly haired guy" on Unsolved Mysteries Son of Sam accomplices, still scares me, and I'm 49 in 2022. Well, even though we already knew who Guadalupe Sandolval was, the sktech of him for murdering Eglena DeLeon, is SCARY. Your father had TWO statements, both from that case (Cold Case Files, hosted by Bill Kurtis: "This is...AMERICAN Justice"), that REALLY resonated with me. To paraphrase him: "This (Seguin, Texas) is Small Town America. Any 14 year old girl, or boy, should feel like they can attend a county fair, and not have to worry about being murdered." But, when it came to the understandable "10 year delay" for scum Guadolupe Sandoval, between when he murdered Eglina, and when he went to jail, your father said, "During that 10 years, he amassed a job, a house that he owned and bought, two vehicles, a wife, and two children. Would you rather that he had gone to jail, when he was 18, a loser, and had nothing to lose? Or, would you rather that he amass all of those said things, then suddenly realize that they're all gone for the rest of his life?" I think that I did a BIG nod "Uh Huh!" when I first heard him say that. Many people ask me why I always mention my birth year, birth place of Seattle, and most of all, my Japanese-American heritage. Well, I think that because of those, I have mostly POSITIVE opinions, and have had POSITIVE interactions with police officers, detectives, and law enforecement. If your father ever went to schools to talk to students, I bet he was just awesome to listen to.

The producers of this episode radically sanitized their report. What they did not report was that the triggerman watched her playing with her babies and actually thought, she doesn't seem as if she is abusing them. Those babies crawled around in their mother's blood trying to get her to continue playing with them. They were covered in their mother's blood when their older half-sister walked into that scenario. in the Crime Scene program, they have a different point of view about the murder for hire plot. It’s funny how two detective program can be so different.

Gee, around 46:00 a Texas guy actually takes his hat off inside. Yikes! Up here you go into the house (or by implication, an office) wearing your damn hat, Gramma would kick your ass. Apparently those boys down there don't have Grammas.
@madalynlindemann60482 жыл бұрын
I've seen a few people comment similarly on that, but it may just be that they're acting..? Cuz where I live in tx n all my family etc, take their cowboy hats and reg hats off inside, at the table etc. But yeah, some people have no manners!
@aurecat2 жыл бұрын
Many people making negative comments about wearing hats: I love them and find them very elegant! In my tropical country, up until the 1960s or so, both men and women would dress up and wear hats to go out and ‘be seen’.

My gosh, how evil these people were to hire other individuals to commit murder, it is unbelievable what money can do to people. And in the first case, giving that man only 11 years is outrageous. He should have been given a life sentence; after all, he conspired to have his wife killed, an innocent woman. For Christ’s sake, what mercy did they show towards the victim? They are alive and their victims are deceased. Not fair and not right. As the Bible says, “ money is the root of all evils,” and it is so true. Ashamed and disgusting.

WAIT JUST A MINUTE; INSURANCE LURE AND FRAUD. In " Silent Killers" they just said "insurance was increased on (his) wife from 10K to 90K. (wrote a comment there) The word would be "incentive" i.e., "encouragment"....IN MURDER FOR HIRE they said " 100 K didn't appear to be an incentive ~" Isn't that a bit of a divorce payment FEAR in both cases, of having to pay "expensive divorce fees?" THIS IS DEFINITELY HYPOCRITICAL not only in the ETHICS of the matter, but ALSO in the " ETHICS of the INVESTIGATORS' " STORY" ?SOMEBODY both "legally '" as well as " video production" has GOOFED BIG TIME. I submit...THIS INSURANCE INCENTIVE in regard to BOTH VIDEOS, proves the point that INSURANCE IS BEING CONTINUALLY UTILIZED by fearfearful divorcees....TO RESORT TO MURDER~ Silent Killers | FULL EPISODE | The New Detectives 443K views 1 year ago #NewDetectives #TrueCrime #SilentKillers A Great Cut to the Chase, (literally~) that would eliminate half of investigators' caseloads, save time, save money, possibly LIVES too: Require every insurance company to EMPLOY a trained investigator (or two, so he'd have someone to converse with, ha ) who can REVIEW FILES of "all newly divorced spouses." LOOK FOR Sudden increases in the amounts being insured FOR, then ask REASONS FOR the sudden increases.!" THE "R F I FILES" ~" REASONS FOR INCREASES...You're welcome. No one gets away with murder, the record is in the mind, with the guardian angels, and in the sight of the one who judges us all. Justice will always be done one way or another. Still...It is most satisfying to see it before physical death takes it out of the walking human arena.

It seems, that since the murder was committed in Florida the authorities there would have wanted to extradite the ex husband and the creeps who conspired the plot? Those poor children!! And her new Husband! How horrible can some people get?

You don't seem to understand the attire of the Texas Rangers. They wear the same attire and hats. It is an identifying factor....same as any law enforcement agency.

I'm sorry, but really, seriously, a cinderblock with blood stains falls out of the car & they wondered if the driver had fallen asleep or had been on drugs!?!? Lieutenant Santos was very sneaky. I couldn't figure out why he wanted a photo of himself with the suspect. Using it to make the other suspect think Rochas had already talked about the murder so he would start talking was a neat trick. 👌
