That broke my heart as a mother with small kids. I wouldn’t be outside crying I couldn’t reach my kids - I’d either be inside attempting to get them or dead trying to get them. I would never ever stand there and watch my kids burn up... I know people react differently and this may change had one or more already escaped as I know I need to be alive for them but I just find it so difficult to understand the senerio - because usually in these stories they just stand there and never attempt to enter again. Innocent victims will however try and get forced back by bystanders or firemen - but I don’t typically see that behavior when they are guilty. Sigh... how? How can a man be worth so much... geesus... all that just to get revenge on her husband? A divorce would give her a lot and she’d likely get full custody as moms usually do - I just can’t understand what she did in anyway at all other than she’s insane.

The minute I heard she told her kid to stay in his room and wait for help, I knew it was she that done wrong. My mom trained us kids how to get out if the house was on fire. How could a mom be that evil, I don't even understand and don't want to! When the investigators pointed out the walls, even I could see the pattern of the flames. These guys are really experts. I'm impressed with their investigative skills. Why they always put evidence in paint cans, I don't know. Its gotta be procedure...? Anyway, their attention to detail, very impressive.

The second story is well documented by Ann Rule in her book "Bitter Harvest." Such a horrible story. I can't imagine any parent doing such an awful thing. I'm also pretty sure all three of the children were meant to die and that little girl is lucky to be alive. Green also tried to kill her husband with ricin. I'm always curious to see the incarceration status of these people so I did an inmate search of Debora Green and was glad to see she is still in prison (sometimes "life" doesn't always mean "life"). Her first chance at parole is 2035. Hopefully she doesn't get it.

I like to talk about how little empathy serial killers must have to do what they do, but I don’t even think some of them could do what Deborah Green did. Condemning your young children to die in a fire, and also giving them instructions that would ensure their deaths. She didn’t just set it and leave. She made sure she told them to stay in their rooms. And since it was their own mom asking, of course they listened. She’s supposed to be the last person that would put them in danger, they would have trusted her words, even if they did see another way out. This is one of those cases that breaks your heart and leaves you infuriated.

Sadly with every acrimonous divorce half of the time its the children who become the pawns...who become victims not either of the parents. Its like in failed relationships where one partner kills the other "if i cant have you no one can" so it is with divorces where a partners revenge towards the othet is to physically harm the fruit of their "the love they once had for each other". So sad really...

Why don't we have a justice system that says, to the convicted criminal if you do not want to tell us who your accomplice/accomplices were then you'll just serve their time as well, and in the case of murder, and being found guilty beyond any doubt by a jury of their peers, if they do not disclose he location of the body /bodies then they will just stay in jail indefinitely. That one I guess would only apply to the ones that don't get the death penalty. By the way,I believe that if someone plans and carries out a murder in cold blood, and for no other reason than to gain personal wealth or achieve a higher platto ...there is no place other than in the dirt for that said person/and no reason for them to be breathing. And of course others that kill for the simple thrill,or in the course of rapeing and or abuse of and utter lack of respect for human life can go for a dirt nap as well. There are I'm sure several other types that should also. And one of these days reasonable people should figure that out, that it is it murder to put to death an individual that he made a choice of kill ,they have forfeited they're right to walk this earth.and in no way should a society have to pay for their incarceration for the rest of their lives. Nor a substitute grave, just a case off ashes to ashes.also ,lets get back to public hangings... Ps no lynching this time. Or at not yet. Lol!

So they don't know who the accomplice is? It seemed obvious to me the accomplice was the same woman who called him and gave him an alibi and also paid the insurance. More Information would be nice.

People really think they will get away with murder? Maybe 75 years ago they could but definitely not in this day. You will get caught, maybe not immediately, but it will happen. More people need to watch these shows so they do not even think one thought of murdering someone. If this doesn't keep your thoughts straight, I don't know what will.

Who can do this? As I watch these videos I feel I am the person with a screw loose, because I don't understand how anyone could do this. Seems I didn't get the "kill people" gene. I'm not pretending to be a saint, I mess up all the time! But these were obviously not just mistakes. The poor kids. I watch these videos because I am very very grateful there are people out there solving these crimes. I might be better off learning to bake brownies to take to them, but I don't know if they would be allowed to accept them. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that they aren't supposed to accept gifts, it might be seen as bribery. Still, I don't want their hard work to ever be forgotten.

What jury could honestly believe that someone confessed that they were guilty of a double homicide, arson, and insurance fraud to a complete stranger who was their cellmate but offered no factual evidence to prove it? Just that he admitted to it On top of that, their cellmate gets rewarded for this "evidence". The question is why wouldn't the cellmate lie to the Feds, prosecution, or detectives as he obviously has everything to gain but nothing to lose.

I assume that it’s life without parole in the first case. And how does paying a “professional” arsonist to deliberately start a fire that kills two firemen only get you 15 years? Isn’t there something written in law about unnecessarily endangering life?
