In a world of duplicity, since Thatcher with paid actors as captured politicians not being held acxountable. This man is the greatest leader that Britain has produced since Thatcher burned down the left or centre left. I'm so happy that he has a voice in a system controlled by a captured media industialists. Most importantly the youth can see how powerful & articulated the British left was & what it can be because of their persecution in the last 45 years.

I respect this man & there should be such men in parliament. Unfortunately the labour parties tend to have politics & media degrees or something similar. Leads hae not been employed at the coal face so to speak. Then you get leaders who don't respect or even like ordinary working folk. Hillary Clinton terms workers as "deplorables", Sir Keir seems to use the term "yobs". Truly Starmer is very lucky that the general election was last month rather than this month, given current events and his recent statements that are perceived as a dislike of working class people.

At first I thought that this man is just a communist agitator who wants to disrupt the railways to the most etc., but then I started to actually listen to him and his arguments- and now I see him and the things and people he represents in a totally different light: he actually makes sense in many ways- like the argument that it should not be the norm in today's UK that if you're working person you have to choose between heating and eating in the UK winter, and that you have to rely on the breadline handouts while you're having a full time job. What this man is looking for is what ever working class person is also looking for: a decent level of living and a decent pay for your work, that's all. Now what could be wrong with that ?

Utterly profound, intelligent and incisive comment on the state of British society, politics and industrial relations. Thank you for something that is both edifying and uplifting. Why, oh why, is this man not in charge of our country? His integrity is evident in his every word. I live in the hope that one day, someone of his calibre might take the reins of public office and rid us of the vacuous, idealistic self-serving, short sighted fools that have wreaked havoc in our economy and society for far too long.

My mom on my 16th birthday gave me a book with the words "This won an election in 1945 ". I was too young and never read it until years later, sitting during a lunch break at work, it was a revelation considering that it was published in 1914 it was my experience at work. That was in the 60s and I'm now 74 and the book is even more relevant today. The title of the book is, 'The Ragged Troused Philanthropists ' by Robert Tressel a house painter.

Working class is a term used by socialist movements across the world so it absolutely is heard in ‘Europe’. And don’t think you’ll ever shame us out of proudly identifying as working class. Rather be a lower class honest worker than an upper class scrounger any day of the week.
