While you talk about women's issues, you should also kindly extend your attention to the difficulties and challenges faced by male actors from non nair/muslim background (such as Christian, other Hindu caste groups, Dalits etc) in becoming male lead actors because it's an unwritten rule that only nair and muslim men can become the absolute superstars in cinema. She has no say in the cast of a movie. That's on the director. If she stands on that principle she cannot act in any movies. She can choose not to act against a predator but if she goes for every side character that she will have to stop her career. Uruvasi also acted in that movie. Dhanya, the issue of privacy and non revelation of names by Justice Hema could be after careful scrutiny and study. Consider a hypothetical situation of one of the perpetrator's name being revealed. This could mean that the alleged perpetrator can file a counter petition accusing the complainant of defamation. This could potentially reveal the complainant details too out in the public and you understand how much of emotional, legal and psychological turmoil the complainant will have to go through. Remember that our justice system works on the principle of innocent until proven guilty and it is upon the complainant to prove the allegations with strong proof. Umpteen cases like Dileep‘s have shown to be counterproductive.
@thesarasohrabi2 ай бұрын
But how is it different from any other crimes.... there is always a risk of the other person filing a defamation.... What is the real reason here ?
@thesarasohrabi2 ай бұрын
And I'm personally not in favor of revealing it partially... Ellam ang public aavatte.... Parvathy is saying they face online trolling but as far as I see most of the comments here ( from men as well ) as bashing the guys only.... so even if there will be negativity... there would be a lot of support as well
@CallmeSJK2 ай бұрын
@@thesarasohrabi . As the time progresses from the real crime , the material evidences also vanish. The best time to report a crime is always within 1 second to few hours of the crime. For an incidence like rape and sexual harassment the time will always play an important factor! This is different from a crime committed say just a while ago !
@CallmeSJK2 ай бұрын
@@thesarasohrabi . It's very easy to say for an outsider like us. However remember that most of these complainants might have presented before the committee for the only condition of anonymity. That's why the government ensured protection for anyone wanting to register a case. This has to be on person to person basis considering their mental make up
@thesarasohrabi2 ай бұрын
@@CallmeSJK Okay.... if it makes the industry a better place in the future I'm all for it... However I'm doubtful of it because.... Most of the objections are coming from 1 gang... the women.... If the industry is full of evil people like they are making it out to be... the movies that come out of it won't be so good.... it's not Nepo ruled like some other industries... that means our movie industry is doing some things right....( the main thing I'd say because the job of movie industry is to make good movies and money out of it) And yes people are all kinds... whether it be male or female... you can't make any big separation like the men are all supporting each other regardless of what their doing..... so it's surprising that more men are not coming out and either supporting the women or at least saying their experiences and views....

The fear to talk against Judiciary is very much there. Judiciary is the real culprit in most of the sexual harassment cases. In February 2017 case and many cases followed, the government has put the justice system in action going against the big guns and the judiciary has delayed the process into unbelievable levels. Otherwise, Parvathy’s position is strong and up to the point. With regard to Mafia, film industry is by its nature prone to mafia culture just like the nepotism culture. Only by creating an alternative or counter culture, you can weaken this mafia. Just like the new crop of film makers and actors creating their own production houses with the modern work culture is the only hope.
