The Chosen is a fantastic way to bring lukewarm Christians and non-Christians to Jesus. Most of the scenes are compelling and superbly presented, but there are artistic liberties here and there that I would have done differently in terms of content. However, it is impossible to give a perfect, absolutely true biblical portrayal because we are only human and simply do not possess God's all-encompassing wisdom. The writers and the entire crew of The Chosen have done something unique and I can only recommend the show to everyone... it helps many to better understand the events surrounding Jesus and most importantly, many people start to study the Bible and invite Jesus into their hearts... and that is what matters in the end.

Chosen is good at what it says it is going to do. I like it. It's the best thing that has ever happened to television. As far as "impossible," I can think of at least one recent Biblically scrupulous production for those who require it. I like it as well. It is the one with Jesus played by British actor John Foss, following the KJV verse by verse. You may even recognize some of the sets.

In the new testament scripture when Jesus is dying on the cross he says "my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me." What I didn't know that 2000 years before Christ, King David wrote Psalm 22. It literally got me to pick up my bible and try again. It finally brought me in to relationship with characters so I could read the Bible and remember the person. The Bible is the greatest action adventure. I love reading daily. Thank you for the series to challenge me to open up the relationship I needed with Jesus. Checking the show with the Bible has actually pulled me to read it, and then the Holy Spirit can work. It was sitting on a shelf for years until The Chosen. I have over the years written about the Bible stories based on scripture. One example, in something I wrote about Matthew, I wrote that if we could see as Jesus saw, we would be able to see the disciple in the tax collector. Is that in the Bible? The story yes but not those precise words. “Eyes that see, ears that hear “ is the basis of that particular writing. Keep up the good work, Dallas. Jesus is real to me and has been many years and this series touches me in its realistic portrayals of how God uses flawed humans to be his hands and feet and voice in this broken world. I love the Chosen. I was previously avoiding Christian shows, having been worried they would not have the right perspective of the Bible. I am very pleased though how the Chosen was done. I have told a couple other people about it. I streamed season one episode one on a car trip to introduce it to my sister-in-law. She was very impressed.

People can say that a certain scene in the show is not written in the Bible, but they cannot say that Jesus never did that! How do we know everything that Jesus did? For instance, the scene when Mary Magdelene back slid and started drinking again. The shame that she portrayed through that scene touched so many people who have struggled with the same thing. And once again, Jesus forgave her and redeemed her. How do we know that something like that didn't happen? No, it is not in the Bible. But that is one of the creative scenes that Dallas used to reach out to others. I, personally, thought it was a powerful scene! And it brought glory to God, which is why the Chosen series is being filmed. Mission accomplished! Folks, don't be so critical and just praise God for lives being saved and the lives being rededicated to God! Hallelujah!

I've been a born again Christian since I was 21. That's 50 years ago. I have fell and gotten back up. I finally became a Bible student 35 years ago, intensely studying it with others, in Sunday School, women's Bible studies, small church groups, served in various ministries with my husband. In January 2021, I experienced a "crisis of faith." Not that I didn't believe, but I was deep in grief and depression over family circumstances. A family member told me about The Chosen. Coincidently, I started studying the New Testament in a year long Bible study, starting with John on January 1, 2021. I don't remember the date I began to watch, but fortunately, all of Season 1 was out. So I was able to binge watch it and became a HUGE fan. I don't think I have missed a think put out on the App. I've now watched the series in the theater when it was offered. Needless to say, I am ready for season 5. My favorite videos are the Round Tables - I've faithfully watched them! Outstanding. I LOVE how The Chosen puts me in the moment with the Disciples. I feel the wind, sand, taste the tears, feel the pain and the JOYS expressed. OUTSTANDING and I HIGHLY recommend. I can't wait for all the upcoming projects as well....Oh my! So good!

I love that the stories are there, Dallas brought the story of Peter that lead up to the walking on water scene to a beautiful touching place where many people could relate. My hubby relates to Peter. I also understand being worried about confusion because my husband doesn’t know the Bible like I do. We watch it together and I explain to him what is biblical and what is not and he agrees with me. The added story lines really make the show as awesome as it is. Plus the round table conversations really help those who might be wondering things like, ‘did that really happen?’ Keep up the blessed and amazing work!!

I absolutely love The Chosen. Since I have studied the Bible I do recognize that the show is not a verse by verse of the Bible, but I also know that it’s a show about Jesus, not the actual Bible. In order to make it not just a dry reciting of Scripture, it is necessary to have conversations and situations that, though not verse by verse, are true to the time and life of Jesus. I look forward to watching the whole show and recommend it to everybody.

There is ALWAYS going to be somebody saying something negative about everything!!!!!! This is the best show in the history of television!!!!!! It doesnt just make you laugh, cry, get angry, be scared, get nervous, but this show especially seasons 1,2 and 3 are the most uplifting, motivational, inspirational, overwhelming, every emotion you can go through show!
