Danni, Some Vegas history...When Ceasars was built in Las Vegas, they expected to be a big hit with Chinese gamblers. But the Chinese boycottted Ceasars Casino. Ceasars researched why and found out that it was because the very large elephants at their entrance had trunks that hung down and the Chinese thought they would lose luck if they entered and gambled there. Ceasars had an innstant remodel and the offending elephants were gone.

I was kind of amused when you came upon those 2 small brown canisters with the carved look plastic tops. I had the complete set. 2 large tall canisters and the 2 small went on top of the taller ones. They are indeed vintage. My sister in law gave them to me as a gift in the 70’s . They were cheap back then . I’m amused because being vintage elevates their worthiness. I liked them and they got a lot of wear. I don’t know where they are now. Time sure goes by fast. I’m 72 now , wondering when that happened lol

The sculptures are ant sculptures created by pouring melted aluminum down ant homes then digging them out after they dry.

Yes Danni, the older you get the faster time goes. The sectioned box is a shadow box for displaying miniatures. A cling stamp clings to an acrylic block when using it.

I love the metal floral candle holder! I wholeheartedly agree with you watching Laura, her thrifting does rub off on you. I grew up with a lot of furniture she adores and I couldn’t stand as a child! Lol! Now I love it! Go figure! My grandmother used to have bowls with the relief lemons on them, brought back memories! Wish I had them! Again love your findings, and especially the purple vase you put back on the shelf. It resembles one I bought years ago at an arts and crafts show I went to.

Those are termite colony sculptures. Or ant colony. You pour lead into top of the mound and it flows through the tunnels and hardens. It is then dug up and cleaned off. Well done pieces are worth good money.

Best of luck with a house purchase. I agree with you, the older you get, the faster time seems to go by. The cling stamps are thinner due to no wood block and are easier to store. They are either rubber such as those you showed with stickers that show the image on the back or made of clear polymer. They cling to a clear acrylic block or are placed in a clear stamping platform. It allows you to see how the image is placed as well as you can repeat stamp with a platform so the image stamps again in the same placement.

The airplane would be a newborn photograph prop piece for taking photos of infants under the age of about 2 months (smaller the better). You could have flipped it on facebook marketplace for $40 to $50 or more.

Danni, the cling stamps 45:12 are just unmounted stamps (not adhered to wood) that have a “clingy” side that ”sticks” temporarily to an acrylic block or other stamping platforms that you then press on your paper. p.s. So great to hear about you hopefully getting a house! I sent up a prayer 🙏 that you’ll get this house and it’ll be YOUR house! ❤
