The way Kelly describes skating and his love for it and how much influence it had on him at a mad young age shines through here. Lot of dudes from that era/age bracket deft can relate👍👍 true skatorian. Lol

Kinda crazy to think Crob didn’t even start skating til he was 15 and Jeron was on Blind at 15. Just goes to show we can all have different stories and still end up in the same place.

If you eve get Mullen on this show I would love to hear his side of the call. I am blown away every time I hear the story on how Girl started. In the start of Santa Cruz and Powell Perala, to Plan B, primitive, world industry, Girl, Birdhouse, Baker, zero, the a team, almost, FA, blind, workshop, enjoi, maple, think, deca. the skateboard industry is bonkers. I would love to see a family tree of skate company’s over the years which one started and branched off the next two and so on. I don’t have the knowledge and can not remember every branch but would love to see someone map that all out.

That would be dope. I’d like to hear more inside stories about the inner workings of the industry... How contracts work (like how people can quit one company for another one), ad incentives, etc...

I just want to say that, I never fell out of love with skateboarding I love to skate but sometimes it just gets repetitive and frustrating but this interview and all videos buy you guys including the gaming channel just makes me fall in love all over. Each and every time, ESPECIAAAALLY this interview. I can’t wait to be able to tell my children hey you know your dad did this on a skateboard down those stairs. And I can’t wait to see how just the influence skating had on me, continuing to my children wether they actually skate or not they will be raised by a skater

Most people don’t realize how good of a skater Tim Gavin really was. Back in the early 90’s, most pros and ams were sketchy as hell and took like 30 tries to land anything. Tim, along with people like Willie Santos, Brian Lotti, Jovante and a very few others had this super smooth style and were incredibly consistent. Bolts every time which was very rare for back then.

Speaking of jobs after skating (or even during), I think more skaters should get into teaching. They work consistent hours during the week so it easier to schedule around work (7-3 every day). Pay may not be as good as real estate or some other jobs. However, the nights and weekends are free to skate. Teachers get off holidays and summers which frees them up to skate, film, and tour.

i had that issue of Big Brother on the shelf behind Jeron 'sugar coated penis pops' :) with loads of extra shit in the box, stickers, spray stencils, bones patch. I went to SF when i was 14/15. Flew from Ireland to Cali for 3 weeks, got to skate EMB & those Venice beach kerbs. I met Sean Sheffey, Scott Johnston, Justin Girard & bought it in FTC, as well as a Guy Mariano set up & some 50inch waist Planet Earth bright green jeans & an element XXL t. James Welch laughed at my ma for her irish accent. Best holiday ever. Literally couldnt have gone any better for little kid me .

I can say, having two cats that my place does not smell like cat, shit, piss, or litter. As long as you upkeep the litter box and the cats are fixed, your place won't smell like you have cats. I know people who don't clean their cats box for days and their shit stinks. I clean mine every day.
