After 4 stripes you wait another 6 months or so and that determines if you move up or not. I’m white belt 2 stripes and it’s almost been a year. It takes someone who trains jiujitsu a LONG time. Over 5 years. I guess that also depends on what gym you go to.

After 4 stripes you wait another 6 months or so and that determines if you move up or not. I’m white belt 2 stripes and it’s almost been a year. It takes someone who trains jiujitsu about the same time (9-11 years) there is no way someone could get their next belt in a day in any martial arts.
