When Ms Cobel threw the mug at Mark and then apologized, that's not brainwashing it's emotional abuse. 'You made me do this' 'I'm only doing this because I love you' - that type of shit

“In the cave of my mind I encountered four tempers” The painting Irving and Burt were admiring in episode 2 at Ms Casey’s office was representing this story. Helly didn’t believe they sent her outtie the quit message so she tried to push enough of her body out the window to trigger the mind switch to guarantee her message was read.

Interesting detail I noticed: Petey fell over around the time he would leave Lumon and go up the elevator since he used to be department chief, i.e. when his chip would usually swap over.

Suraj is right. The quote about the four tempers is a very important theme to the show that shows up multiple times afterwards. Also, the wax statues looks so eerie.

@@Ynot2711 Given that he's already watched Season 1, I think he makes way too many comments on his thoughts about characters and moments BEFORE the other first--time reactors can actually react to those moments. I also think he's done it a few times where he's tried to interpret and explain scenes to them and not let them figure stuff out for themselves.

I absolutely hate when reaction channels start their videos with a clip of something later on in the video. Like bro, I don't want to see a spoiler from 5 minutes in the future. I assume they do it because people have zero attention span and it gets people hooked and increases views. So the way you guys are doing it now is perfect imo. You get right into the video with no boring intro and no spoilers. Please keep doing that.

Yeah, stuff like this makes me think we're kind of in a Truman Show type situation, where they are focusing these people to study and test on them. Maybe "fix" them from their trauma?

**SPOILER WARNING. Continue reading only if you’ve watched S2 Ep1** When they watch the infomercial showing the changes Lumon is making, it shows how the Lumon building has expanded from the original building. They have always been on that plot of land. Is the “perfect replica” in the perpetuity wing actually the original house?

It's cool that in this show, they play with the colors red and blue to represent "reality" and the "fantasy" world of Lumon, a reference to The Matrix. Usually, Mark and others wear red clothes in the "real" world and blue ones at work. Meanwhile, Pete, who is conflicted between the two worlds, wears a red and blue robe. There are several other references as well. Perhaps I'm pushing on this one, but Haley, whos always trying to leave Lumon, is red haired

Helly was actually trying to reach out of the door enough so that the chip would switch, and her outie would see the message she was holding in her hand, I think she probably didn’t believe them when they told her that her outie refused her resignation letter, or she was just desperate to get a message to her outie and go out

To Navi (or anyone that finds themselves in a similar "tamale situation"), with most people you can apologize by showing up with a smile and giving them something back while also stating "oh, I was remembering you the other day, that you got me those tamales while I was on vacation and I forgot to thank you afterwards, so here..."

Yeah, I big part of this show is the way it portrays the typical stuff that people go through everyday working in an office setting. Strip away the sci-fi aspect with them being severed, and a lot of this would be how office workers would interact with each other. Even the severance thing feels somewhat believable as most people tend to separate their personal and professional lives and keep all of the outside noise to a minimum so they can do their jobs to maximum effect.

Just this past Thursday, I took a mental health day off work. On Saturday, I had a package at my door from my company: a "brain wellness box" with a reminder to "take care of myself", containing... a jigsaw puzzle, a book of word search puzzles, some tea, and lavender fragrance. I was just like, "Wow, I didn't realize wellness checks and meaningless perks were part of my job, too; where's my waffle party?"
@nichescenes9 күн бұрын
@ Yeah, the constant asking how much their paid to want to do this, like my dude people are living day to day. People have degrees they graduated with that are higher than their company boss and paid 2 bucks above minimum wage. It's a steady pay check after years of no bites cause the millennial job market stinks. Not alot can be youtubers (an also stressful job in equally different ways). The best part about the show isnt the mystery but how well the idea of severed is so close to real life.
@nichescenes9 күн бұрын
@ Lol that also just seems like a cheeky way to make fun of you depending on the place. Honestly, sometimes it can seem fake the office life. That said working in the harsher places like MAPPA making AOT or JJK seasons, i imagine their is a sense of warfare we made it and care, or toxicity who knows. They hate the higer ups but love the staff helping them make harsh deadlines. Or working on one piece week to week and seeing fans happy etc. The get days off but dont take em cause they dont want friends to have to make up their work.

Why is her innie not called Helena R. instead of Helly R.? Is this some kind of old-fashioned tradition and women get their first names shortened?
