Fun Facts Fact 1: Neo has begun to evolve her semblance, as shown in the fight. Fact 2: Neo wasn't originally planned to be in this Volume, but was added when the writers thought of what they could do to make Cinder's storyline better. Additionally, they found the idea of Cinder having a partner in Atlas cool. Fact 3: Miles and Kerry explained Yang and Blake's misunderstanding as due to Blake not always getting the nuances of her relationships, hence why she ended up saying the wrong thing to Yang.

I would say the coolest things Torchwick ever did were fighting on par with both Blake and Sun at the same time in the Volume 1 finale and totally rejecting Ruby's big heroic speech moment at the end of Volume 3. I love villains that can actually back up their talk, and even if the kids were younger back then, it was still impressive for Torchwick to keep up with them despite having no Huntsmen training. Hell, he was kind of winning in those fights too with Sun and Ruby being saved by the appearance of Ruby and the Grimm respectively.

Totally agree. Torchwich was a fun villian. He definitely wasn't all talk. He is from an era when adults actually posed a serious threat, both physically and intellectually. The closest character to him now might be Watts. But Torchwich was much more fun on screen.

Dameron is 100% wrong there were straight swords in Japan, mostly from early periods (< Kamakua) they weren't called katana or tachi, but there is one very famous one (it has a name but I can't remember off the top of my head) that is a Japanese national treasure which is considered to be the precursor to the curved swords which came later.

I mean when you compare that to "shot in the heart and disintegrated" and "cut literally in half while the camera shows the light in her eyes going out" like the other redhead deaths in V3, it's not that bad. Torchwick somehow survived being in the front car of a train wreck that knocked out a shielded Team RWBY (with full auras) while unconscious, the airship crash doesn't seem that much worse than that. Frankly, I'm not convinced until I see a body.

I think Suraj should be the new replacement voice for Qrow. His original voice actor, Vic Mignogna, got fired between Volumes 6 and 7 due to some shady treatment of minors at conventions. His replacement, Jason Liebrecht, doesn't sound quite the same, unfortunately. But Suraj's Qrow is spot-on.

I talked to Jason Liebrecht at Delta H Con this past summer and he stated that when he auditioned he was trying to do a near perfect voice match and feels he nailed it....But when Miles & Kerry cast him, they explained that Qrow is a changed man and they wanted him to modify the voice a little to reflect that, so that's what Jason did.

As someone who doesn't watch with subtitles, the "Well?" when Cinder said, "Right," has convinced me to maintain the habit. Some people saw Roman and Neo in the two smallest kids, in that group photo. (They were wrong, but it was a fun theory.) Nice to see Weiss find practical uses for her semblance as well as in combat. Salem and Oz already tried replacing the gods, it led to four dead kids and an eternal rivalry that could end the world. The gods made Salem immortal, the best Ruby can do is burn the the grimm out of her... which I'm still expecting to see, in the grande finale. The next chapter is one of the best, and my personal favourite. It's proof that the writers *can* make an excellent story, if it's small scale; they just don't know how to execute the grand plan.

I'm honestly surprised that a lot of people in the RWBY fandom aren't talking about the theory that Torchwick and Neo were the 2 children in the family photo. When I saw the name of the place plus orange haired kid I couldn't help but try to make the connection. Obvi "Torchwick" may be an alias for his actual name "Burnswick" (cause torches burn lol) and the little girl looks similar to an aged-down Neo (excluding the split pink hair and her heterochromia) Of course this is all speculation and I'm not sure if its been confirmed or debunked, but the evidence is there.

Yeah, I don't think DC owns that stuff. Those "characters" are like 2000+ years old and would be Public Domain. Maybe DC owns their version of of the Greek Gods story. But I'm pretty damn sure anyone can do a Greek/Roman/Norse/Egyptian gods story I believe ANY work of art/creation that is 100 years old goes into the public domain. There could be some modern copyright tricks that "reset the clock" on the work. I mean, The Beatles stuff is getting close to being 60 years old but maybe a "remastered" release can reset the clock so their great-great-great grandchildren can still benefit from their work?
