I am just realizing this now extra late, but Male Jordan doesn't get moved lol. His whole power is being a immovable, indestructible wall. So much so, when Luke punched him he didn't move. Sam punched him here and he took a step back. So that scene was more to show off how strong Sam is not Jordan

Pretty sure that’s just fans. Emma isn’t the heart of the series that’s the literal lead Marie. Emma doesn’t even know anyone in the core group outside of Marie and Sam. This weeks episode is likely going to be the first time she interacts with the rest of them (not counting the one scene where Andre convinced her to sneak in and find Sam). Kind of hard to be the heart of the show when her storyline has literally just been about Sam and she’s unconnected to the rest of the core group. Both ep5 and ep6 were group episodes and Emma was off with just Sam. I get ya’ll like her but that not what the “heart” of a show is.

A sentiment with which I agree, in fact. Even though Ennis did take it a little too far in The Boys. It's just spiteful to the point it affects the overall quality.

It’s not a fun spice. It’s an experience that happens that people/institutions brush aside or that people choose not to deal with and it also puts forward Marie‘s powers and what potential they have. It’s two folded. Jordan even says he deserves what happens to him meaning he constantly does this and this was his comeuppance handed to him by our protagonist. Quite a few women can attest to some form of SA happening to them and it being taboo that it’s just never properly dealt with. If they tried to have a conversation about it, people would complain that the show is doing too much and is trying to be too woke. Sometimes they’re just teenagers or young adults who don’t know how to deal with shit.
