Yeah plus the whole point of getting better in this sport is learning from other teams and following their techniques. Obviously they make it their own or have their own twist, but some things like synchronized attack, rebound etc aren't things u steal from others cause it's a normal technique everyone uses in volleyball anyway

The difference is that Karasuno made it their own. They trained for it and modified it to make their own variations, like the one we saw in this episode. Jhosenji just saw it an immediately tried to do it. What Karasuno did is called research, when you take the things other people have done and use them to make something of your own. It's not the same as just copying it.

You probably missed it, but the moment when Daichi tell Hinata and Kageyama that he has their backs, the Johzenji banner is behind them. Their motto is "Simplicity and Fortitude", which PERFECTLY describes Daichi. There's a lot of little nuggets in the series like these that I love.

The best way to enjoy a realistic sports anime is to just enjoy the sport. Just because you love one team it doesn't necessarily mean you have to be spiteful of the opponents. All these characters from each team has a growth arc . Please respect that. It not only improves the way you relate to the sport , it also helps you appreciate why sports is actually supposed to be a thing which unifies people.

It's really hard to hate opposing teams because they're all just aiming for the same thing as the main protagonist team, to win. And no one's really a "bad guy". But I noticed its a western thing to hate or demonize antagonists to show support for the main characters. And I dont really know how to feel about that because I literally do not hate a single team or player in this anime.

We saw a character arc for ougi minami in season 3 though they came only for 2 episodes. We should be appreciative for that right. It's really underrated how nasty Johzenji were with hardly any plans or strategies like the other teams have. They were either in the Top 4 or Top 10 and they were just playing to have fun. They're one of those teams where you give them somebody like a Daichi and Suga or an Oikawa and Iwazumi to level them and they could easily stay in the Top 4 for at least 3-4 years straight

Still hate how they have to be so anti anything other than Karasuno. I'm a pro Karasuno, in the sense i will always support Karasuno against any other team unlike some people who prefer other teams. But damn respect the opponents. They were slightly forceful in trying to get Kiyoko's number yes, but otherwise they've been shown to be really decent guys. Cocky, over energetic and confident, but in no way bad people. Plus hearing them say "Don't copy them" when Karasuno's season 2 training camp is literally them copying and learning every move they saw lol.

After scanning some comments, I cannot help but leave one myself to share my opinion as well... (cant believe I'm posting this lol) For those upset viewers because the reactors seems to be "hating" a newly-introduced opposing team...I completely understand, that's your own emotion/opinion and you are entitled to have one...but I think, you guys need to chill haha. Before you become upset in their reactions (which I used to do as well), I hope you take into considerations some of these points... first and foremost, aren't they just trash talking for the meme of it? they doesn't seem to hate the teams when they are discussing the episode at the end and I think "hate" is a strong word to describe their reaction, they seem to dislike the opposing team a bit (and they're allowed to express that) since they dont know them well enough yet. Honestly, I used to not like their Haikyuu reactions because of the same reason but they already explained in another Haikyuu reaction video that they are doing that for their own fun and not really seriously hating any character/team. Ever since that video, I try to view this reactions in their perspective and be more understanding because unlike most of us who might have watched Haikyuu multiple times and knows every back stories and personalities of each characters/teams, the Normies are first time watchers and can hate anyone base on first impression only. I know all Haikyuu characters need love and must be protected at all cost but I dont think we felt that way on our first time watching the show either. I'm sure they will love everyone in their 2nd or 3rd watch... hopefully 😅 tl;dr don't take their trash talking seriously and they already explained it on another video. This is how they are having fun in watching Haikyuu. I agree with u it might take time to like a character but isn't it high time to like the characters , they r watching Haikyuu 4 quite long Now. I don't think some people realize that these reactors make haikyu more fun for them by trash talking the other team. That's literally what you do when you watch sports. Either way I do understand the frustration when they don't grasp the entire message because they're too riled up talking smack about the other team. But it's understandable. It's sports in general. Go to any European soccer match or a basketball or football game in the states... things get very tribal and heated even if there's no genuine malice. Passion and pride in the home team run high. With hindsight it's easier on us to look at those other teams fondly, having seen their backstories and been around the characters longer, but to them they're still just nameless antagonists by and large. They warm up to them eventually as they get to know them I'm sure, as we've seen them do in the past.
