Mr. Cencic has an especially beautiful voice and sings with deep feeling. He is one of the men who can readily step into a trouser role without anybody wishing a woman could do the singing. Knowing how difficult it is for men to do this, he has my heartfelt respect. He does this very well.

I was a big fan of his voice on the recordings but I was so deceived when I "heard" him live; his voice is so small ! In the duets with the young soprano Camille POUL, he was totally eclipsed. Even the very small orchestra (luth, positif organ, viola da gamba ...six musicians !) covered his voice.

Very beautiful aria. Excellent performance. But "Il cantico de' tre fanciulli" (The Song of the Three Holy Children) (Dresden, 1734) not an opera. This is an oratorio. This is aria of Misaele. Notte amica, oblio de' mali de' mortali, bel ristoro alla fatica, il silenzio tuo profondo sia facondo a esaltar chi ti creò. Giorno, e tu, che de' tuoi rai pompa fai su l'emisfero, gloria rendi al sommo impero che tua luce dilatò.

J'aime sa voix et sa technique mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi il n'utilise pas plus sa voix de poitrine? Dans cet air il y a beaucoup de jeux de registre (sur le mot Profondo) c'est dommage, la voix disparaît complètement. Heureusement il y a des micros mais ce n'est pas ça l'opéra!
