Very deeply thankful for your introduction words. It deals with our beloved whom we’ll never forget! There’s not a night of mine without remembering them. Thanks as well for the song my husband enjoyed singing (as a Warsaw ghetto child survivor).

Theodor Bikel (z''l) was the one over there who remembered those times... Dancing youth didn't caught the heartbreaking mightiness of the song

yes, it might be due to their ignorance and having no idea what the song is about. But, still off putting to see them joking and smiling during this song

Looks like nobody figured that this is a Soviet song known as "The Battle Song of the Terek Cossacks". It was written in 1938 by Dmitry Pokrass and Alexey Surkov.
@MarkRubin9 ай бұрын
Good melodies can't be held down. The Cossacks sure didn't use these lyrics I assure you.
@morph6Ай бұрын
You completely missed the point. The original melody was written by Pokras in mid 1930s. Pokeas was a jew living in Kiev at the time.

Has to be before July 2015 (Theo died 7/21/2015). After Schindler's List movie came out, Krakow had a resurgence of interest in its Jewish history and arts -- and tourism wanting to see where the movie was shot.
