I think he's been through a lot and it makes me really happy that he's still very humble and understanding enough to give these girls a chance when no one wanted them. Maysa 18 not really only kun and Zhengting really have the same type of mindset even if the others are nice they cant understand the trainees on another level like kunkun and zhengting because the went through the exact same process so they know what it’s like to feel left out and unsuccessful, which is why as from what we've seen in kuns teaching he was very encouraging and had a comfortable environment for the trainees and i think we'll see that from zhengting as well.

Rap needs even more breath, can't you see that there is priority before beginning a thing that is a step higher? As for Xinrang, she didn't even went to him in the first place because she knew by herself that rap isn't for her. So there is no question about that. And the trainees he took are trainees that were interested in rap in the first place. So he is teaching them. But Tako never said she wanted to rap, not in the debut and not at the interview too.

When I saw Zhu zhengting as a guest mentor I screamed at top of my lungs because I predicted it's gonna be him. I really miss idol producer, looking at back he has really matured. When cai xukun and zhengting hugged I literally cried so many memories. Theo is so kind-hearted and also the other mentors. I love how he handled the situation calmly to not let the girls misunderstood him. He is so kind omg. I love the four girls in Theo's team for they understand the situation and they were so genuine to accept the choice even though the choice they made will also affect their time to shine. I also love Tako Zhang for not crying and for understanding the mentors decision and for Xinran Song I feel so sorry for her and so sad because I know she is a hard working person. Xinran song was also voted out in the Non-Daily Revelry team and this time another something sad happened to her and I know how much pressure she felt right now. I love the two girls and I admire Theo also for doing something to not letting the girls felt unwanted. I was a little bit pissed about Jony J's decision. Like I kinda get why jony j didn’t let them in cause it’d be a pity thing and he said if it was his daughter he’d want her to be rejected so she can be respected or smthing along those lines. I guess the difference is that they are good at and have great potential for singing so they can fit into Theo’s group whereas they wouldn’t fit Jony’s cause they have some fundamental issues with rap (breathing issue). And the song meant a lot to jony j and to those who chose it so he wanted to do the best stage... at the same time I wish he’d given it a go cause it’s really awful to those two but then again he might’ve before now tried to reach them rap and not been able to. I feel like rap (to my very inexperienced self) is something that you can’t learn easily and is partially instinctual rather than learnt.

Zhu ZhengTing (akaTheo) is such a great person to take 2 girls into his team ✨ If you guys watch Idol Producer as the 1st season, you will like ZhengTing right away. He is a great dancer with famous nickname “fairy “ because of how beautiful he looks when he dances. He cared about pretty much all other trainees in the show and treated them very well too. @@jb9mic He's been dancing for a long time, and he's known to be really good at tumbling/aerials bc he's really good at traditional chinese dance and contemporary dance (there's compilations on youtube if you're interested hehe), but anyways, all that flipping around unfortunately came at the cost of a waist injury. Basically, his waist/spinal cartilage was completely worn down, and Zhengting was heavily advised by doctors to take a break but boy just doesn't know how to 🙃 He's also had a few issues with dieting for the past few years, but he's been claiming that he's now dieting more healthily so I'm gonna trust him on that.

I don't know about you, but if he wanted a "perfect" stage, instead of just rejecting Xinran and Tako he should've actually considered TEACHING them how to rap, something he's lacking throughout the show. Besides, this isn't a competition. If he wanted no one to laugh at any trainee, he should've taught them and be patient with them instead of straight up rejecting. Even NINEONE teaches the trainees to rap better. Thank god Zhengting was here and considered everyone's feelings, both Xinran and Tako's and the initial trainees he had to It's OK. It's my favorite stage in Idol Producer so I'm excited for the stage a lot!

I feel sorry for Song XinRan. She was voted out of Non- daily Revelry, had to memorize a whole new song (Light Orange Island) and was not chosen by any mentor. Zhang YuGe/ Tako also wasn't chosen in her 3 interviews with the mentors. But I'm proud at both for accepting the mentor's decisions. However, one thing that legit tipped me off was Jony J. Sure he's a rapper and he's gonna perform his song but why did he need to close off the 2 extra slots of his team? So he got his 'dream team' of capable rappers but seriously, even if a person in YWY 2 doesn't know how to rap with the right method of teaching them they. will. learn. Xiaotang and Luna Qin, for example. They didn't know how to rap but Nineone taught them well and look what they can do now. Jony J didn't really act like a mentor in this episode tbh. He could have given XinRan and Tako a chance. As a mentor in this show he is supposed to HELP the girls have chances at the stage, not DENY them But THANK YOU THEO YOU SAVED OUR GIRLSSSS Edit: i didn't know what happened on Weibo until someone said it. I get the points about saving the girl's faces but we'll never know unless they try. And again, the main point of what I'm trying to say is that Jony J could have done better as a mentor. Do you know Luna Qin rap is basically a trending meme on Weibo tho... in a very bad way. She got really big fan base before this show and so it doesn’t hurt her career as much. Imagine if this happen to Tako. Underground scene (jony j is an underground rapper) is super harsh, alot rappers made a video on how to rap Luna Qin rap song after that episode and she basically becomes a laughing stock and they call her “professional reader” , the meme is even no.1 trending on weibo, i seriously don’t hope to see that happen to another trainee again for sure so i think what Jony J did is right

What jony j did might seem like a dick move at first glance, but like he clearly gave them a test and they just weren't cut out for it. Sure they can improve, but if they don't they will get memed as "readers" again like the 2 girls from the melody group. They were given guidance and help from both jony j and nineone, but they couldn't improve that fast enough by the time of the performance. Those 2 literally got memed to death on weibo. Theres also a shit ton of videos about it everywhere even on youtube. People literally made covers of the song showing how it should really sound like. I don't really think anyone would want the trainees to be memed that hard again so like his decision is honestly the right one.

Don’t get me wrong I love these girls so much, but I can understand why Jony J didn’t want to take them into his team. If you look at the older episodes where he was coaching the girls who didn’t know how to rap, it kinda made those girls look REALLY bad. Almost as if everyone (even the subtitle text in the show) was meme-ing on them for not being able to rap and just reading the lyrics. I also think that those two girls being on Jony J’s team would have struggled to master the song, and I can’t help but think that their performance may affect the other trainees that are rappers. I love all these girls so much, I’m glad that Theo bent the rules to give them a chance to perform on stage.

We need to recognise that he is not the only "rap mentor" in the show. ywy employs professionals to guide the girls too. Moreover in first live show, 乃万 helped the girls for rap too. But " 黄色的长裙" and qin niu still flopped. So it might not be that jony j does'nt know how to teach but it is really difficult for the girls with no basic rap skills to manage the song in such a short period of time.

IsaacM I get you, but you also gotta keep in mind that ywu2 was ok with him sealing off those two spots. If the show director was dead set on all groups having 5 members then the girls would just be forced into Jony J’s group, mostly out of pity, especially because one of them didn’t even try out for Jony J’s song. If that was the case then the whole “interview” portion would be pointless, then they shouldn’t even bother having the interview, just have the mentors accept ALL the girls that try out for their group. (Also keep in mind that one of the girls was REJECTED from Ella’s group despite Ella saying she still had 2 spots left).
