Silent Hill 2 is out of this world. The atmosphere and sound design is impeccable. It’s so immersive. I’m gonna have to check out Alan Wake 2 now.

3/4 of the games I bought since 2020 since owning the PS5, have been Ps4 games. This generation has been wild. The physical deals on PS4 have been great the last few years.

Nice collection dude. I also primarily play on ps5 lately. I'd phrase it that i care "marginally" more about trophies vs achievements, but the most important factor to me is that the physical copies are more consistent. None of the 3 systems are perfect, but Sony and Nintendo have had more releases with all of the data on disc/cartridge this time around. I tend to skip switch releases with downloads to the physical copies.

I agree, a big part of why I don’t invest more into my Series X is that I feel like Microsoft doesn’t care about their physical market even slightly.

I love this generation of consoles both the PS5 and the Switch. There is so many games available with a good variety of genres. I notice there are plenty of people complaining with the lack of games, but there is much besides the AAA first party based titles. The indie scene has exploded on the current generation, with tons of great shmups and platformers etc.

to previous generations its lacking in a lot of ways, the gaming community isnt complaining for no reason, all of these new games are still coming out for last gen and how many years are we in with the ps5? think about it, a couple of games exclusive to new consoles aint going to make much switch over, and indie games are easily runnable on previous gen, it is what it is.

I’m nearly 2 years in & have 20 PS4 games & 31 PS5 games, plus 5 games for the kids. I’m kinda running out of options for games I want, but I see 10 coming in 2025 I want. I have some vr games but they’re hard to get into. Wish I had those Alan wake games

okay. but everyone on reddit keeps telling me that the PS5 sucks and has no games because they come to PC, so it has no games! In all seriousness, I don't think the PS4 generation started off all that great either. I mean what were you playing early on anyways? Knack? Killzone Shadow Fall? A remastered version of a game we just played on PS3 only a year prior? It's not that bad, if you really wanna see a company that has no games Microsoft is sitting right there. Feels like they've been in a coma for like 2 generations.

I'm far more content with the PS5 library at this point than I was with the PS4 library. I think that the people saying the PS5 has no games don't remember 2013-2016 for the PS4. Xbox seems to be telling everyone "next year will be the year for sure!" for like a decade, and now their games are coming to PS5. Starting to feel like a pointless platform.

@@ObjoGaming I feel like they only really have themselves to blame. Feels like Xbox has been going through an identity crisis for awhile now. Are we a gaming platform, a media device or a Netflix service? They have IPs they could do something with, and they have far more money than either Nintendo or Sony. So, what's the problem. Management, maybe. I'm not sure.

Yeah, I heard that Soul Hackers 2 wasn't great. They apparently patched it to address certain complaints, but I expect there's only so much that can be done. Sonic Frontiers also saw a bunch of updates, but if you're not into the core gameplay loop, nothing they've done is going to save it. 😕

ALONE IN THE DARK i enjoyed playing the game until i got to the puzzle part in the attic and after you solve the puzzle on the pc it just stays on a black screen so never got to finish the game.I addressed this issue and it wasn't fixed.

check out squirrel with a gun, short game but its only 30$ for such a unique game and comes with a poster which is neat.

I gotta be brutally honest but I kind of find the PS5’s lineup so far to be pretty disappointing, sure occasionally they are some truly great games on the PS5 such as Lost Judgement, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal just to name a few but most games coming out for the PS5 (and this generation in general) has mostly been remakes of older games or games that try way too hard mimic cinema which is starting to get really tiring. The thing is if people like remakes then that’s fine but even then I don’t really how people aren’t developing fatigue from how remakes and ports are coming out lately. Regarding cinematic games I feel like too many games coming out lately try too hard to mimic films and ignore aspects like interesting game mechanics and are just filled with scenes where you just follow a character while they spout out a bunch of exposition which isn’t interesting game design.
