I play with the ps2 style sights. The little crosshairs on the screen. EA should be ashamed at this remaster.

Unpopular opinion, the original sights are kind of bad, i mean they're dated and that's fair but i didn't like them, only thing i can say is that it was 2002 and tech wasn't as advanced, but while the M1 Garand use of it wasn't terrible, the Thompson's aiming with it felt stale, and they were right to fix it

This is the "remastered" version that came with the Medal of Honor 2010 Limited Edition. The difference graphically between this and the PS2 version is negligible but the gameplay is still stellar and thats why i got it. Thank you for the question and for watching my videos.

When you sneak in on the germans sitting behind those boxes or whatever, you can peek at them between a crack that's between those boxes, then they pass a 'cigarette' to one another and one says "Ahh, das ist guter tabak" Just 1 example of what stuck with me of this game over the years since it came out

A great number of reasons. It was a foggy morning so the fire would not have been accurate. Coastal defences are specifically designed to withstand naval fire. Many of the allied artillery spotting teams were killed or wounded during the landings. A 16-inch shell has a casualty radius of a few hundred meters which would kill many allied soldiers even if it was a direct hit on the bunkers. There was a pre-landing bombardment which did kill many Germans and destroyed a lot of machine gun nests on certain beaches. The Sherman DD tanks were expected to do the close fire support. My personal favourite reason that I agree with is that a lengthy bombardment would simply warn the Germans that this was the real assault and not a diversion which would allow them to move more forces into the area putting the operation at risk of failure. In WW1 uninspired commanders would bombard the German front lines for days and weeks on end, the Germans simply waited it out and brought up more forces for the expected attack which usually ended up in massive French or British losses and no ground gained. A surprise bombardment about half an hour long followed by a shock assault of infantry and the early tanks was far more effective. Sorry for the long response.

Its an in game issue and i do find it slightly annoying as well that they didn't fix it before release, i played the PS2 version way back in the day so seeing it out of sync just feels wrong.

i think the original MOH d-day was better than the remake, didn't like the help the soldiers thing, and also u didn't have to make a slow approach in this without dying :-( the very beginning was bad, dull and clichê, in the original, all the guys before u die from MG fire, just like the real d-day, the, the ship explodes thing is just, aahh it's bad and lazy.

***** this is the original allied assault D-day. In this game you have to slowly go up the beach from cover to cover, and someone else already has the bengalo torpedos. What i really liked about this mission when i played it is that i felt like a soldier, not a rambo that does everything when your team is too lazy.
