I am very happy that you guys are so clear and helpful to understand what is going on in various Christian churches. I grew up in a Reformed church, switched to URC but 25 years ago changed to am Alliance Church that teaches reformed doctrines ( because of the pastors we have had) but is in a denomination ( really an association ) that is made up of many different views. Since many people there don't see things the same way and come from different backgrounds , I hear a lot of ideas that should be lovingly corrected. I have spent time with my pastor and a big issue we discussed is the definition of terms. I can have a conversation with someone but I know they don't see it the same way. Saying God is Sovereign is a good example. Thank you for what you are doing. So helpful.

This was so good. Please make that reminder about Luke 17:20-22 (Timestamp: 25:10-26:33) a clip of its own for distribution. It is a fiery truth and a word for our day.

What is it like to leave anti-emotionalism? I read people condemning emotions used by God and referred to in the Bible, in favor of a message of "go ahead and bite the bullet" and "swallow the bitter pill, of what a _cruel_ God we demand that you replace your *(trusting,* _"weak")_ faith in". Forget "meek and lowly of heart, and ye shall find rest for your souls". They demand that you rid yourself of such "weak" notions. So, yeah, the most "emo" thing in the world are the ones who cannot abide appropriate emotional responses to spiritual truth from God. They cannot weep and mourn; they cannot have hearts filled with love. And they deny every Bible verse that doesn't conform to the Procrustean bed of Calvinist-Augustinian philosophical doctrine. Been there; NEVER again.

I think you are painting theonomy too broadly. Not all variations are about a top down imposition but rather an optimistic view of the Lord's Prayer and the Great Commision.
