My brother used to make software for digital slot machines. They can set the percentage of your chance to win at anything the casino wants. You really have a very small chance of winning.

I had a serious gambling problem in my 20s. I havent gambled at a Casino in over 10 years. You can win tens of thousands eventually, but if you gamble a lot you always end up giving more back. I can't go near them and never will again, it's too addictive for me.

Speaking of ways to get free credits... this wasn't a casino machine so no money to win, but I used to hang out in arcades and found that if I hit the metal plate near the coin slots on a Defender machine, it would give free credits. So I ended up with a sore knee and hours of free play.

I have never walked out of a casino with more money than I had when I entered. One time I was up quite a bit, but because I had barely gotten there, leaving wouldn't have made the wintry drive half way around Lake Tahoe worthwhile, so the loss record remained intact.

Las Vegas was much better for gamblers in the 70's when the mob ran everything. They gave you free everything if you gamble a few hours a day. I still felt great even after losing. The mob knew human nature better than the MBA's do today.

Daz, my uncle loves horse racing. He came down to Florida from Kentucky right when the Kentucky Derby was going on for my brother's wedding. Just a half hour or so before the wedding was to start, he was sitting outside in my mom's van because she had a TV in there, watching the Derby to see if his bets were going to win. 🤣

I was with a friend at a casino and he liked to play $5 Video Poker where you can bet 5 credits so that's $25 a hand. He won $50,000 and while he was waiting for the casino to get his information and then his money he moved to the machine next to him and won another $25,000 on less than 3 hands. He gave me a very sizable amount with the promise not to tell any of our friends as he didn't want people to bother him for a handout. I kept that secret until he died suddenly a few years ago. Friends still ask me how much he gave me but I keep that to myself.

I went to the casino once. I didn't think it was fun at all. If I ever have to go back, I'll just put my entire "budget" on odd, for one go, and win or lose at least I'm done. The only gambling I do, is testing my old lady's sense of humor.

My Senior Spring Break of High School….My classmates and I stayed at the Atlantis in Bahamas….I found a Quarter Machine that would accept any coin …I played it all night with pennies, nickels, dimes. Didn’t win much and it was roped off the following morning

I work as a slot tech at a casino. No, rebooting them does nothing to help you win. The win percentages where I am is set by the state and it's extremely low less than one percent of you winning type low.

Usually I don't mind people doing whatever they want, but gamblers affect other people too much. It's like a drug that you can only get high on as long as you ruin the lives of 10 other people by getting them to use too. The main reason hard drugs are illegal are because of the damage they cause to others who are not users, I don't see why gambling is not viewed the same. Any money you make is off the pain and misery of others.

And this was a city with a larger population than yours, and well farther advanced. People came from everywhere because there was an entire circuit. Some left weekend events with 6 figures of winnings, for just the weekend. Cry to your boyfriend, sista.
