You need to know where you can get the cheap stuff in Switzerland... Dont go to Coop or Migros... especially not Coop PRONTO!!! This Shop is insanely expensive, even for Swiss... The Swiss are gonna kill me, but go to the german shops (placed in Switzerland) like Lidl or Aldi. You will pay the half... trust me ... Maybe Denner also is a option here If you cant, then look for their own brands, like "Migros Budge" or in Coop "Prix Garantie"

Coop shops' prices in Switzerland are similar like Southern France supermarkets such as Leader Price, Util and Carrefour. In Portugal 500 cl beer is priced 1 euro. Breakfast price is 20 euros at 4 star hotels in France. Public bus price is 2.20 euros in south EU for each journey such as Spain, Portugal. The bottomline is that there is slight differences in prices of everything among northern european union countries such as Finland, Denmark and Spain, Portugal, France even for real estate.

It is much cheaper to travel in Switzerland using a Swiss rail pass than buying individual tickets. When we spent a 10 days in Switzerland we stayed in a single hotel in Kloten (Zurich)l just outside the train station and travelled across the country by leaving at 7.20 am and usually returning before 8 pm. Most of our dInners were brought in the Spar supermat opposite the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel and lunch at a place we visited. Very cost-effective.
