Thank you for sermon, pastor Ted! There is a beautiful legend about Simeon concerning on his prophecy and age. According to legend Simeon was a one of 72 translator of Torah who arrived to Alexandria by invitation Ptolemy II Philadelphus (maybe, 255 BCE). And he should was translate the famous Isaiah's prophecy: "Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14). Simeon after long meditation refused to translate "virgin" and wrote "young woman". And in his dream he had heard God's voice Who said: You will live until see virgin and Messiah. That’s why Simeon had said: "Now dismiss your servant in peace, O Lord, according to your word..."
