If something ever needed to be a series, it's this. Terraria calamity is an amazing and unforgettable experience. The bosses, the classes, the music, the JUICY game progression. It's all lovely. Also, if May would be down/around it's even better co-op.

Okay 3 "Must have" mods are: 1. *"Recipe Brower":* lets you bind a key that allows you to search every single recipe and shows you everything that you can craft with every material. 2. *"Boss Checklist":* to check which bosses you must fight and how to summon them. 3. *"Magic Storage":* craftable boxes that you place next to each other where you can put all your items inside of it; the green box lets you dump all of your items and the blue one lets you craft things by placing crafting stations inside of it. Also other optional mods are: Either *"Ore Excavator" or "Basic Automated (Vein) Mining":* bind a key to mine a vein of ore. *"Fargo's Mutant mod":* 3 NPCs who sell you stuff to make farming easier. *"Alchemist NPC":* NPCs who sell you potions and other useful stuff to progress faster.

One thing you should know about the calamity mod besides to make sure to get the music mod is that it adds an entirely new class, that being the rogue. The rogue class is a class that specializes in well timed burst damage using stealth strikes. When you wear a full rogue armor set, you get a bar called stealth which passively increases all the time but faster when standing still. When this stealth bar is full and you use a rogue weapon you preform a stealth strike, which not only does more damage but has an added bonus effect depending on the weapon. There are also two rogue weapon types, consumable and non-consumable, meaning one will run out while the other is infinite. Stealth can also be used for other effects such as accessories taking a portion of your stealth for an effect. Oh also a lot of abilities granted by armor and accessories in calamity require a key bind, so watch out for that.

The damage it’s able to deal out can effortlessly keep up with other classes and the added effects from stealth strikes can cover a large number of situations just like every other class in calamity. If you think rogue is bad you were not playing it optimally or in the intended way.

iirc calamity is now dependant on the music mod after the bountiful harvest update so it should be auto enabled, and rogue is added by base calamity not music mod and is indeed ridiculoulsy overpowered later in the game👍

you should play on revengance mode, it does make it harder but adds adrenaline and rage which build up while in combat and grants u a damage boost for a short time, makes the experience more enjoyable imo even w the added difficulty

Holy this must be a whole series calamity mod is better than some entire games. For other mods, literally just quality of life stuff Boss Checklist Alchemist NPC (recommend lite version) Magic Storage (HUGE recommend on this) Some vein miner mod Recipe Browser Luiafk (lets you craft infinite versions of base game consumables like potions and ammo) Also Calamity has a separate music mod, the calamity music doesn’t get added unless you get that mod (and the calamity music is insane) Also for calamity mod I highly recommend putting on revengeance mode (if ur up to the challenge also do death mode, but mainly revengeance)

5:50 If you see a star fall slowly like this, there is actually a floating island above where it fell. Falling stars come zooming towards the ground but this one floats down as a normal item pickup. Sometimes falling stars will hit these islands and the pickup will fall off the edge.

Some other mods you should add that I haven't seen mentioned yet are Fargo's mutant mod and Alchemist Lite. Both are great QoL mods. Also get hook and wing stat comparison mod. So you don't waste materials crafting hooks or wings that are worse than what you already have. Edit: With OreExcavate you can also quickly build arenas using the excavate key and placing a platform.

Calamity adds content throughout the ENTIRE game from Beginning to end and even Post Moonlord. New bosses, biomes, items, NPCs, AND a new class called Rogue. It also adds extra recipes so things that couldnt be combined before might be able to now, and things that might seem useless could become useful later so ALWAYS check.

Also Calamity Mode overhauls the whole game progression, from New bosses, items, biomes, etc. The Mod is completely integrated into the Base game so there are bits and pieces of the Mod everywhere at any point of the game ( early, mid and late game ) .

So glad your giving this a try, lightweight mods i can recommend are the boss checklist mod so you can see the progression order in game, secondly if you havent already id make sure you have calamitys music addon too cause the music is a big deal for the community, and finally id get the magic storage mod because calamity adds thousands of new items and storage becomes a nightmare very quickly without it. aside that i think your good to go at your own pace really. Really hope you enjoy calamity cause its always been a very special mod to me and many others, best of luck. Edit: somehow forgot recipe browser, almost essential that one.

I think u should make a series of this because calamity is a great mod and has a good amount of fun and challenge in stored, also the music is very good. I recommend making a grappling hook with ur diamonds, but also makes sure to take any item with the word "Material" to the guide because calamity has progression from the get-go of the playthrough. I would also recommend installing a mod called 'What item am I looking at?" for the sheer fact that u can determine whats calamity and whats vanilla to terraria.

Since you asked for mods I'm just gonna copy the comment from the other video where I suggested a few. -> " the official music pack is absolutely neccessary and the Infernum music pack is highly recommended even if you don't have the infernum mod(which takes the difficulty to a new level), they're both bangers. Magic storage, boss cursor, ore excavator, Lights and Shadows, Boss Checklist and recipie browser are also must-have mods for it. I also recommend not using any other major content mods when playing calamity such as Thorium or Fargo's soul mod(it can be really confusing and fuck up the balance)." Also if you want to build houses and arenas I recommend Magic Builder, it can build the small houses you have now and also a lot prettier houses and arenas. Also also, yes most of the "main" Calamity bosses are after the end of the base game.

I did NOT expect Mythy to play Terraria, ESPECIALLY with the Calamity Mod. It's a very welcome surprise, as Terraria and by extension, Calamity, is my favourite game/mod. It's really difficult, but it expands Terraria so damn much, I can't play the game without it it now. I would HIGHLY recommend listening to others and their mod suggestions, as they will make the game a lot better, even just with quality of life features. Boss checklist and Magic Storage are also must haves, if you ask me. Veinminer too, if you don't want to spend a lot of time mining.

Aside from calamity and its music, the only other mods i would recomend are: -magic storage -boss checklist -recipe browser pretty seimple stuff, the wiki and specifically the class progression guide is incredibly useful! also i recomend turning on revengance mode! its slightly harder but theres a lot of revengance exclusive content and its basically the intended experience of the mod. also idk what is making you dash with no item but regardless dashing is like the main movement in this game you're going to want to master it! good luck ave fun and hopefully we get more episodes i love this game and this mod so much!

I’m so glad you’re playing this. Its my favorite mod for a game ever. Such an improvement over the base game. You may want to also add the Thorium mod. Its equipment will get outclassed by almost everything from Calamity in the end game (except for maybe the healing scepter), but its good for mid game (Edit: it looks like there are some issues with the abyss biome when loading both mods, so make sure you have the items from that before adding it in.)

Calamity is one of the very few mods that I would say is worth paying the full games price a second time just to experience the mod. As in, if you've bought Terraria on console, I would HIGHLY recommend buying it on Steam PURELY to play with Calamity (especially seeing as you can get it on sale). The only other mod that's like that is the Strawberry Jam mod for Celeste.

Also Fargo's mutant mod is a great quality of life mod that adds instant houses for the NPCs in the game and other items that will help with bosses and other things. Also I recommend using recipe browser, and boss checklist. They are great to look up items and keep track of all the bosses you have killed and what you still need to kill.

OH SHIT HE'S DOING IT MYTH I BEG YOU Edit: not mastermode but expert is still cool. As for extra mods to add, add life crystal/fruit glow, so you dont miss em so easily. You can also add stuff like fargo's mutant mod(a few NPCs that sell boss/event/special enemy summons once you beat them once), alchemist npc lite, or helpful npcs to add a bit of quality of like to remove grinding(still gotta get money to buy the stuff but it removes some annoyance). Edit2: Luiafk, Imksushi, and Magic builder are good for missing crafting recipes/prebuilt structures if you meed em. Edit3: gold/platinum is the strongest of the basic ores(copper/tin, iron/lead, silver/tungsten, gold/platinum), unlike MC where gold is super weak Edit4: there's a mod called Quality of terraria(also has some chinese characters in the name) that combines aspects of multiple QoL mods, one of which being the "Big Backpack" that gives you like 6 inventories worth of space or smthn like that Edit5: items dont disappear unless you exit the world or if they're white quality and dropped into lava. Enemies pick up dropped money

A few mods you should install if you havent already Ore Excavator (A vein miner mod bind it in controls) Recipe Browser (F the guide) Calamity Vanities (Adds alot of cool vanity items) Fargo's Mutant Mod (has insta arena's, Insta Hellevators and comes with Insta houses that dont look like prison cells💀 also has npcs that sell various things) Census Town NPC Checklist (Shows ALL npcs in housing UI and shows how to get them to move in) I dont really recommend any big QOL mods on a first playthrough but i will will give a few as a recommendation just incase LuiAFK Quality Of Terraria And lastly I recommend turning on Revengeance Mode as its the intended calamity experience (Its enabled through the skull icon to the left on your map while your inventory is open) Overhauls the difficulty in general its basically an expert+ mode and you get 2 very useful bars called rage and adrenaline (MAKE SURE TO BIND THEM IN CONTROLS) and lastly have fun👍

I would recommend magic storage since it helps organize better along with quality of life (like alchemistnpc so you don't have to fish unless you want too, item browser to check recipes on the go and boss checklist to see bosses and how to summon them :3) and Fargo's mutant which gives more quality of life stuff. I would also recommend maybe using the wiki if you ever get stuck/confused
