The funniest thing that I ever saw was the day that the engine was alight on a car at the side of the road. While the guy was running around like a headless chicken, his girlfriend calmly took her Levi's off and used them to beat and smother the flames out. Somehow it actually worked. and she equally casually rubbed the smoldering leg of her jeans out against a wall and put them back on again. It was one of those things that I would never see again if I lived for another 100 years.

First thing I did when I bought my BMW F800 was to stick some stickers on it. No Chupa Chups, but it's got some skulls, an anarchy symbol, a shark and a smiley face on it. Some of those must surely translate into HP because when I crashed it into a signpost it was still ok enough to get me home (minus a few bits and pieces) 👍

I ll just add some of my mustard to it: In luxemburg there a plates linked to the cars (2 letters and 4 numbers) and than there are plates linked to a person (self chosen numberplates, 4 numbers (nearly impossible to get one as there is a waiting list for them) 5 numbers OR 2 letters and 4 numbers [difference is that you chose them, the other are given randomly]) so if you got random plate for your car, when you sell it to someone, he will be able to keep them on the car or has to get a personal plate on them, while when you have a personal plate, when you sell the car, the plate stays yours for (i might be wrong, i don t remember it well) 3 years, if you don t register a car with them in those 3 years, you lose them and someone else can get that personal plate.
