The wife is still trying to get over it. I just tell her anytime she feels sad to talk to me about it.

From the US West Coast: Condolences for your loss. I think you're handling it better than I would.

There have been times in the back of my mind where I thought about "what if" but I don't let things get to me.

Brother, thank you for sharing your personal side of things. I will keep you in my prayers for your family to prosper and be in good health. What is happening in Canada with Trudeau Liberal government is a disgrace. Our taxes are gong to Ukraine than our health care system.

long time no see! I thought Canada has better healthcare than U.S. sorry to hear about the baby. since you have so much side jobs, maybe a 2-post lift at the house would help you?

We get free healthcare but free doesn't always mean good. Nurses can't do anything unless the doctor is there. And only having 1 to 2 doctors at a hospital causes such long wait times. My wife is following this group of woman in our area that had similar issues where they experience the same thing and had their miscarriage. They were in pain but nurses can't do anything or give you anything unless you see the doctor so you're in pain the entire time waiting for a doctor at the hospital. I was thinking of a scissor lift but my garage isn't very tall. Barley can get my 4runner wheels off the ground.

@ that sucks about all of our healthcare. the US is not much better and much more costly. i wonder why there is not a biz of DYI shops where people can rent the lift/stall by the day or hours. it would allow DIY folks to do much more and save time from being on their back under jack stands.

Running a shop here is very costly I have a friend that opened a shop and the first few years he opened he barely broke even. I'm still going to keep working from home once the tenant clear out all their stuff in the garage so I can use that side for shop equipment like a bigger compressor brake lathe and tire machine. Still think a scissor lift will be enough for me I just wouldn't be doing anything crazy on bigger trucks.

Wait I was told Canada's healthcare is a beacon of great care. But trust me the US healthcare ain't much better. You can go massively in debt real quick. My one daughter racked up over $750,000 for her brain tumor treatment. As for losing the baby, I am so sorry to hear that. My wife had a miscarriage almost 20 years ago, so I feel your pain.

Holy smokes $750k. While I was at the hospital waiting there was a kid and his father also waiting before us probably more than 8hrs because his 7 year old had a bad fever but got better waiting there. The doctor ended up recommending some Tylenol and sent them home. I was amazed how the father kept his cool the entire time he was there. I could tell he was on the verge of something.

@theoffroadingmechanic I didn't have to pay that. Insurance paid most. After we hit our max out of pocket at the time it was 100% covered. Before that I am required to pay 20% out of pocket until deductible is met. I probably had to pay maybe $13,000 total. It was costing $4000 a week for chemo. She had to take two different kinds. As for the Dad, I would have lost my shit. That's bull. Our ER rooms ain't much better. You could be there for hours, too. But nothing like our soon to be 51st state Canada.🤣

I'm so sorry. As far as names , honor a family member buy naming your child after them .

Regarding prospective names; I don't know about Canada but in the United States the Social Security administration list each year of the most common baby names. If you can find that, don't pick one on that list

I'm sorry to hear you and your SO went through tough times. Yeah, our healthcare system is dogwater. I waited 3 hours to get a doctor to check out my ear infection which took around 3 minutes to diagnose. But hey, good to see you back!

Appreciate it. Coworker working beside me got misdiagnosed for a heart attack twice. And my mom had a headache and feeling dizzy for a week. We had my mom checked out in Vietnam and she's at risk for a stroke. Doctors couldn't find and anything wrong with her.

I thought my recent 3 hour wait in the emergency room was bad, can’t imagine spending an entire night and still not get treatment. My condolences man
