Fishing trailer, we've had a lot of viewers asking how we made out after being hit by hurricane Helene. We made this short video to show some of the damage done to our trailer at Suwannee Florida, it is a total loss. We have 30 years of memories, fishing and crabbing with family and friends it's always been a special place to us and anyone who stayed there

I am so sorry for your loss and troubles. It's devastating. I was born and raised in the Augusta, GA area and lived around here all of my life except for about 5 years when I lived around Atlanta and then in Thomasville is southwest Georgia. I was living in Thomasville in Nov 1985 when hurricane Kate made landfall around Port St Joe and Apalachicola bay. The damage we received up here in Augusta with Hellene, as well as South Carolina and up into North Carolina and East Tennessee is reminiscent of the damage we received in Thomasville and Thomasville is only about 60-75 miles from the Gulf. I would never have imagined that a hurricane that hit around Tallahassee and Stein Hatchie would have still been so furious when it got here. It has just been devastating to everyone around here and especially being that everything that we were seeing up here was saying that the storm would track from around Tallahassee toward Macon GA and go west of Macon and up toward Atlanta. But no, at around 4:55am on Friday morning, with having experienced Kate while living in a small mobile home I knew it was bad here. Well, if you aren't going to rebuild or put another mobile home there maybe you could put a pad for a camper there so that in the event another hurricane comes along you can move the camper to a safe area. I normally enjoy your videos but other than overjoyed that you two are ok this is a very sad one. Good luck and stay safe Sam and Joyce.

I'm so sorry y'all, I'm in northern Greenville County SC, we were out of power and water for eight days. Lots of trees down on our place but we still have our home, we aren't far from North West NC, about forty minutes up the road from us, I've never seen anything like the destruction of Hurricane Helene. So many states really damaged😢 It's ok to cry, all it's heartbreaking. And now Hurricane Milton I'd tearing through Florida as I'm writing this. Again I'm sorry that your place got hit so badly.
