Hey..... Back in 1981 up in Maine, I worked 3rd shift at Plastics plant that was part of a wood mill. Besides Furniture stock and wood heels for boots, they made urethane soles for shoes in various sizes. I was the Maintenance guy.... They used plastic injection mold machines and it shot pre-measured amounts of Resin and Isosyanate material mixed into heel/sole molds. Both the Resin and the Isosyanate came in 55 Gallon Drums. They weighed about 550 Lbs. each, there was 4 drums to a Pallett stacked 3 high..! THe fork mlife came up during the day and took down 4 Palletts for the night shift, from the Pallets I used a Barrel Truck to get the drums off the Pallett and take them to the Machine that needed Material.... It was in August of 81 when I took the four Barrels/ Drums off one Pallett to run the shift. I've done it 100 times in the course of 6 months, maybe more..? The drums had a sealed bottom and a sealed top, both had a Rim about 3/4" or 1" in height never measured it/them. One night a Drum bottom Rim got caught on a portruding Pallett Nail that stuck up mayby an 1-1/4 or less. I could not get thwe drum off the Pallet, the more I tried the tireder I got and it finally got the best of me and threw me over in the corner of the loading dock..! I felt a burning Knife type Pain in my lower back at about waiste Belt Level. I laid there a while and some workers came out to find cuz I had been gone a while.. They helped me back up and the Pain remained the same & never changed, by morning I had Pain down my entire left leg..! The day shift came in and we filled out an accident report and I went to a chiropractor that morning. The pain in my left leg was siatica, (spelling..?) A few more visits, no change, he refered me to a surgeon. After a Cat scan and the3n a Milogram, I was diagnosed with 1 herniated disc at L5-S1 Siactic Notch..! On Workmens Comp till May of 1983... I resorted to surgery, that wasn't really surgery, more like an Injection/Removal.. At the time my age was 34 years old, I wan't growing any more, so my Surgeon Dr. went to Canada for like a month, came back & I was his Guine Pig...! 1st Patient to have the Cymopapaine injection... The Cymopapaine is an Enzym from the papya plant that eats Protein. The center of the Disc is Protein and its soft like chewing gum, the outer portion of the Disc is a fiberous material like cartildge. With 2 18 ga. Needles, through ny side, I was put out, he injected the Cymopapaine liquid into the L5-S1 Siatic notch while watching it all via camera on a monitor, wated a few minutes as the liquid disolved the Protein Nucleas part of the Disc(center) and then withdrew the liquid leaving a vaccant center of the Disc. The herniated Disc means it was split from the Center to 1 or 2 edges and compression of the Disc like when astanding up, push the Nucleas Gum like Protein out where it applied pressure to the Siatic Nervfe.... = PAIN down left leg and loss of motor control=placement of the foot...! Nock on wood, I've have never has a bit of any troub le with L5-S1 since, I do whatever I want when I want, no pain or discomfort at all, ever...! Sorry for the long story.... =) Whatever you do, do NOT GO UNDER THE KNIFE, in other words, DON'T LET DR.'s TALK YOU INTO BEING CUT OPEN IN YOUR BACK...! TELL THEM YOU WANT THE CHEMICAL DISOLVING OF THE DISC.....!!!!! I'M VERY SERIOUS....! IF YOU GO UNDER THE KNIFE, YOU"LL HAVE MORE PROBLEMS THAN WHAT YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW, .... Everyone I talked to who had the3 Disc(s) Surgictly Removed, was worse off after the surgery....!!!!!!!

Good my Eric great to see this new video. And it isn't easy dealing with the injuries to the neck in the back with this change weather and I'm trying to do a little bit of cleanup in the backyard and I've been down the wrong way and I'm pretty much walking with both my canes again myself. Any insurance companies like I'm at the end of my medical treatment so they're not going to pay for no more medical so now I got to go through all my own personal insurance and find doctors but it's definitely not easy especially at my age in my mid 50's . And my wife is yelling at me she's like stop trying to be a superhero. Lol. But glad to see you walking around the property checking on your deer cameras and you know me I always liked looking at the videos from your cameras it's amazing how close them animals come to your house. 12 you and the wife have a blessed and safe week. P.S I'm out of KZbin jail😂

I am at my cabin as we speak. Took the day off tomorrow and I plan on milling some more pine tomorrow. Trying to get through it before the grubs beat me too it. Making 6x6s for my sawmill shed that I want to start in the spring. Jeff

I enjoy the The Old Jarhead channel content, but take care of yourself first. Then you can enjoy being at your cabin. Btw can you angle the forward array more to help keep snow off the panels? Happy holidays.

I have a similar issue with the back. What shots did you take and are they effective?
@TheOldJarhead14 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear that! It's a tough life eh? I have had multiple steroid shots and they do help, I've also had Ablations in my lower back which burn away nerves and those help too. Eventually though, I'll have to get some vertebrae fused I think.
