I ALMOST CRASHED DURING TESTING!

It’s been a while since I ran the Malibu successfully on Nitrous at the track. So this past weekend we took the Malibu to National Trail Raceway to test, and get a base line on my Monte Carlo.
We were having a blast clowning around until I cracked the nitrous bottle on the Malibu and I got a reminder… that you don’t have to have a 4 second car to get yourself in a bad position at the track.

Our whole way of life changed in the 90s when the government realized they could make more money by providing companies with cheap foreign labor than they could by standing with domestic labor. Eventually the math will stop mathing and those who can still do things will survive, while people relying on cheap labor to keep the stock numbers high will not.

Drone shot of the homestead looks great. Driveway is on point. That cupola on the old shop brings the new shop and the old shop together nicely. They compliment each other very nicely. Miss Vicki's flowers look fantastic. Happy to see Addie at the track, when will she be ready to make some passes?

Another great video Bill, the Malibu was definitely hanging the front tires in the air on that first pass. I could definitely use that carb for my 68 Chrysler with a 446 cu. in. Wedge, it runs pretty good but could definitely use a bigger carb. It’d definitely be cool to hangout with you guys for a day though, keep up the great work guys.

The flower portion of this video is hilarious. You had some pretty good one liners in there. As far as the Malibu almost hitting the wall, I’ve noticed in your videos that you guys don’t do some type of a maintenance program where you guys nut and bolt everything before race there’s a lot of overlooked things, that shouldn’t happen if you go through a checklist and make sure that certain things are taken care of things like low transmission fluid was,yada yada yada I’m not trying to be critical, but it seems like something so simple that could be taken care of. Keep up the great work and I’ll keep watching your channel. I just want you guys to be safe.

I agree completely. You do not have to be in a 4 second car to get hurt. I wrecked a 48 second backhoe once. Going through the town of forest city in the mid 1990s. Street dept. Raised the man hole covers for paving. That can cause a little bit of bounce

Hey Bill on my 79 Malibu I replaced the steel bumpers with fiberglass ones,removed the absorbers,radiator support inner fenderwells steel hood steel trunk lid with fiberglass ones.The car looked like it had a lift kit on it lol.Replaced all four springs that lowered it and leveled it out,so much quicker and drove so nice.

Too bad you can't get them old nitrided valves, the transmissions in 1975 buddy of mine picked up a 1965 el camino that had set in a garage for so long the paint had cracked but not any paint job this car was costume show car back in the late 60's crazy part it had what was known then as a starlight transmission cable shifted from the Column but wait it was a 904 worked up with 727 parts they were found in police interceptors but that car was wicked fast with a built 327 we street raced the heck out of it back then did not get beat in town much or the track in its class of automatics small blocks , channel is so much fun and informative . monti is a perfect bracket car lol
