I came across your video a while back and watching it because it is real. i am a die hard fan of Chevrolet since way back. I have owned 68 SS, RS with a 454, 1970 Z-28, and 1971 Corvette LT-1. I sold the other Camaro's and keep the Corvette. Your channel is authentic because it reminds me of what I wanted to do. I wanted to drive to track and click off 10 second time slip and drive home. A build sheet is the Birth certificate of that car.. gotta love them! tells you sooo much about how it was built/ordered, DSO, etc usually find one or two in the interior..mostly in the seat springs.. The tank is a popular spot too for many years. Im surprised you havent put a sump on that tank with AN fittings.. Car looks awesome as ever! Billys car looks like it made a better lick on that test pass.. I wish I lived closer- I got a 72 chevelle thatll give you both a run LOL! .I dig KP shirts! Luv ya guys!

10:02 The gauge needle in the dash may be stuck/obstructed... take a paperclip and burn an inconspicuous hole in the plastic and flick the indication pointer to see if you can unstick it.. Just a shade tree idea..

As a former mechanic with General Motors we used to take and let the car down and put a ground strap from the frame to the sensor and plug everything up like it was in the tank and let someone watch the gauge as we move the sensor to see which was working

Love the videos! Looks like you need to order a new gas gauge for the instrument panel in the Malibu. I had to put one in my 80 model years ago, so I know that they Were available so check into that. God bless y'all 😁

I had a few Mark VII's and the gas gauges didn't work right. I had to find the ground wire and tap into it and ground it and then they worked perfectly. That may be the problem you are having.

I love a good running street car ..when I've drove mine to work all week then go to the track for test n tune on Friday night and cross the Finnish line Infront of a dedicated race car and thru full exhaust that makes me extremely happy .. matter of fact I'm so happy that I offer to shauffer granny to bingo in my street car .. she took me up on it a few times until that ss Camaro revved up at me at the stop light .. she said it felt like her soul was in the backseat ... She said she wouldn't ride that car no more she was gonna need her soul before too long ..she had to give it to the Lord when she got there .. lol

I think the reason that the Mustang and Malibu rivalry is so big is there’s a lot of us out here that can afford to have something like that so it’s not just something to watch, it’s something to see how our cars would compare to yours. Maybe I’m completely off the mark but I know I can’t afford to throw twins on my mustang and then the subsequent suspension upgrades to make it all work. I think it’s great that for fun you guys race. Lol

Hi Bill, I love your videos can't wait for the next one when they come out. I'm running a 400 ci. Sbc dart motor with a small Weiand blower 7 lbs of boost with a 950 QFT boost referenced carburetor. In a S-10 I do drive it on the street and play at the track some weekends that's why I'm only running 7 lb of boost. I had the motor built by professional the motor could handle a lot more boost, but I can't afford Methonol or 110 octane. You mentioned in one of your videos a while back, that you were going to do a video on carburetors taking one apart and putting it back together and and go through the basics of tuneing your carburetor. I know you can't do a video to show how to tune a carburetor for everyone's application. But I think it would be cool if you still did the carburetor video for the Holly 4150 series. Do you think you may do one that is a little more in depth on how the carburetor works, for instance the difference between a naturally aspirated and a blow through. I watch videos on KZbin but it is very hard to find content that is accurate or from someone who actually knows what they're doing with a carburetor these days. What I have learned has been through so much trial and error, and I can say there is some good information on KZbin but also a lot of bad information. Hope you'll share some more of that great carburetor knowledge with the rest of us to help us get started out.

When I was going to watch drag racing at the track in the early to mid 80's. If you had a 12 second street car people considered it a fast street car. Now there was street car's that ran in the 11's but not a lot at the track on any given night. The best time I seen a street car run back then was a 71 duster. No idea what it had for an engine. The only things that stood out was dual 3" exhaust and a narrowed rear end with some wide DOT rated tires that had to be 15" wide. No idea what brand they were. Anyway the car made 3 passes that I seen all 10.8's don't remember mph.
