My old mechanic, who is actually very young, every video you upload is a blessing. I read also your vid comments, and saw the vid diagram, the explanation was excellent👍 Editing and photography take a lot of time, and I also really appreciate this hidden part of your doing❤

Wow, thank you! For some video's it takes more time to edit than the actualy time to work on the bike 😉👍🏻👊🏻

One and two not getting fuel but has spark would lead me to check the carb vent before removing the whole carb assembly but then again if the bike was stored on it's kick stand and not center stand, could have crud in those two bowls from sitting.

Too bad I can't give 2 thumbs up 😀. This takes the maintenance up to the next level. Really like these troubleshoot and fix videos to gain insight and knowledge.

I got worried there Old Mac didn't see you for a few. I know this channel and family will keep you busy. This is a great video. I have done this once. I didn't ride for a year and left the bike sitting. Never did that again. I wish this video was out then. Can't wait to see the rest. Be Safe Sir. Randy

I had an issue with mine. 1996 model, issues on 2021. Stuck floats. 20+ years, never cleaned. It was not a lack of fuel, it was an excess. Running on 3 cylinders. Drained 6L of oil. Or should I say 3L of oil and 3L of petrol out. yeah, more petrol in the sump than the fuel tank. Had a little peek into the carbs, and they were all full of baby bacteria.
@papaduck2443 Жыл бұрын
So you are thinking that it is a lack of fuel due to clogged carbs? Im very much looking forward to the next video on this. Great video Old Mechanic!

Unfortunatly there was a dead battery and leaking frontfork seals so the owner came over to pick his bike up. I can understand that, as money doesn't grow on your back. But I am sure that in time he will come back to me to fix the problems on his bike.

This is spooky. I just finally got my 600 Bandit to run properly today, since March. I was dirty carbs in my case. Needless to say i have become very quick in removing the carbs. I did buy an ultrasonic cleaner, which worked well.

I have a 2002 bandit 600s and it makes an very loud buzz and rough vibrations between 4 and 6k RPM. What can it be?

I getting a bit crazy with my 1993 bandit 400 VC. It's hard to get starting when its cold...and when it starts after 60 or 80 kms, after i turn off , doesn't start, only after 6 to 10 minutes will restart, sometimes only on 1 gear. My mechanic said "It's not the carbs, CDI, sparks". I have no idea what this is...valves problems, compression, regulator? If i have a normal ride shes quite good, but if i go at high speed, she just starts to make funny noises from exhaust, and it starts to losing power, like shes runing on 2 cilinders and then just stop and doesn't start at all, just in the next day. what should i do?

Hopefully someone can help me😂 on my 2001 suzuki bandit GSF1200 my 4th cylinders header isn’t getting hot. Just had the carbs rebuilt i checked for fuel i checked my Sparkplugs for spark and all of that checks out. Would adjusting the valves help at all or what. And yes i have good compression across all four cylinders
@TheOldMechanic9 ай бұрын
I would start renewing the sparkplugs and the sparkplug caps. My son his 1200 righthand sparkplugcap often came loose, then the engine started to run on 3 cilinders. Also check the igniter coils / sparkplug cables. Let us know when you found the problem
@huntermoffitt84329 ай бұрын
@@TheOldMechanic i checked my coils last night and are good as well as i have new spark plugs in it. Took it for a ride and noticed my stator cover is leaking and needs a new gasket do you think somehow air is escaping too and causing it somehow. The bike hesitates when giving it lots of throttle. I synched carbs as well as all air/fuel mixture screws im at a loss what to do next. Probably another leakdown test on that cylinder it is about 20 lower psi than all other cylinders but still within spec
@huntermoffitt84329 ай бұрын
@@TheOldMechanic ended up pulling back off the carbs to double check and ended up just being that pilot jet was clogged soaked it and blew some compressed air through it put it back together no problems at all

Sorry I may be missing something, I only watched the beginning of the video, and all I picked up was you bought a motorcycle on Facebook and expected it to be faultless, that is several years old 🤔😤
@Mr.EeToMyself9 ай бұрын
No spark from one coil means no fuel? Hows that happen.
@MHLivestreams6 ай бұрын
Agreed. Coil failure, or loose low tension leads feeding the coil. Pretty obvious. I'm heading out at around the 3 minute mark. Have a great day.

Been there before a couple of times with my old gsf600, although I did not have an ultra sonic cleaner instead I just used petrol and a gas canister for a refillable lighter to blow through the jets.
