As a Singaporean, we are blessed to had Mr Lee as leader. He was visionary and plan for the futures. He understood so much about danger of race disparity and put effort to make sure all races in Singapore can call this island home. Watching protest all over the world for BLM with covid-19 still lurking around worried me but I am safe at home and listening to his speech. Miss you Mr Lee. Hope our generation and current leader will not disappoint you.

When I first came to these shores years ago, I hadn't known that the minorities were treated with such care. They should be and as they achieve greater social opportunities, the 'care' will wean off. I came from a country where the majority gets all the benefits, minorities get crumbs off the table and the rest, nothing and it was one particular race that was targeted specifically to be denied and oppressed. We still thrived and prospered despite. 50 years on, the majority race's still sponging.

Im not Singaporean but I was based there for a couple of years. I believe despite all the 'questionable' principles outsiders may find in his administration, MM has figured out a straightforward way of running a country. The world should learn a great deal from him.

I doubt many know the historical facts he had raised and therefore had no clue about the true meaning of what he had said. He was just asking people to re-think some thoughts. He saw to all those legislations. Who knew better than he did? Why this issue about race again? Why are we regressing that way? After all these years living together, can't we let this issue rest? Let's just move forward already.

Thanks for your "extra care". One day you will realise we don't need that. One day we will rule our own nation by ourselves. One day, we will achieve a true Republic, based on Law and Constitution which defends human liberty and rights.

I would have thought that Native Americans would be a better comparison than the African-Americans. A major commonality would of course be in essence, the fact that both the Malays and Native Americans are indigenous populations of North America and Singapore respectively. The African Americans were slaves brought over , who for a long time were not considered part of the American population. In Singapore I would find it highly surprising if anyone would dare say or even believe that Malays are not. Such an excommunication is reprehensible and it makes the situation of Native Americans on their reservations all the more sad. For while they are citizens of America, their socio-economic status is terrible.

not listening carefully. it states minorities to be treated with care whilst no such thing in the American constitution.

many Singaporeans do not like the idea their life has been planned for but they do not even bother to plan for themselves.. life is like this, if you don't plan, other plan for you.. .try living in another county and see how true it is... look around, many Singaporeans cannot survive outside Singapore.. WHY?

Tony Du ,You won’t say LKY is the Best ....if you were one of the about 130 people who were detained and interned under Operation Cold Store in 1963 WITHOUT. a Trial .....for as many as 20 years ! They were accused of being communists ....although this was not true and was never proved ! Some of them were released after spending 15 years in prison .......and lived to tell their unhappy experiences to. Mr. L. Tham. a lawyer ( who is the leader of People’s Voice and who recently. challenged the PAP in the recent general Elections ) He has spoken on many occasions at Hong Lim Park. Please listen to some of excellent speeches that are only now shown on video

Whether you agree or disagree, I guarantee your country has not have a leader like him before. Therefore, don't think we a fool because Singapore needed him rather the other round. Say all your disagreements or rather your empty rhetorics, but no one the likes of any of you has made Singaporean's life better and forwarded our interest on the international front. Probably you have bitterness and sourness in your language, I truly understand because none of you has enjoyed such a tremendously hell of a enjoyable roller coaster ride with this unforgiving yet brilliant leader that led us to this day. You can say what you want but when you are in Singapore, you will know the difference he had made - unlike what you are saying, empty words and empty promises, blurting out nonsensical and self serving speech n arguments. None like you got more guts than this person to stand in front of everyone else n made a name for himself and Singapore. I challenge you to do the same for your countrymen, I doubt you will last more than him. With due respect, I also trust that your superiority complex is greater than any hard truth reasonings this world can provide you with. I say my peace. Thanks.
