Former WP cadre admits advising Raeesah Khan to maintain lie due to ‘lack of clear plan’

During cross-examination, former Workers' Party's cadre Yudhishthra Nathan admitted advising former WP MP Raeesah Khan to "actively maintain the lie" about her false anecdote due to WP's failure to provide a suitable plan for her to come clean.
Nathan explained that, at the time, he felt compelled to suggest that Khan continue with her lie, given the "party leaders' directions for months" and the absence of a clear strategy after an important 12 October 2021 meeting.
Nathan clarified that his suggestion was not for Khan to fabricate new lies, but rather to clarify certain details of the false story, such as the age of the alleged sexual assault victim, without revealing that she had not actually followed the victim to a police station.
When District Judge Luke Tan asked whether this advice was meant for Khan to mislead the police, Nathan said he could not recall if his comment related specifically to the police investigation or if it was more general.

This whole saga is beyond idiocy. How can you wait for the directive from party, shouldnt one do whats right as a professional? For example in a company one is employed, if theres practices like corruption, unfair practices like price gorging etc what should one do...wait for management to give directive??...as a professional one has many avenues to be a whistle blower and do the right thing. If the MP do something wrong, do we blame the PM...this is just trying to implicate someone at the top...target has been established... just wayang wayang...RK is an example of how employing the wrong person can land one or the whole company in hot soup...

Amen. we maintain that the PAP has been using Ms. Raeesah Khan as the pawn in skewering the WP --- the PAP could have allowed the WP in managing the errant liar Ms. Raeesah Khan on their own, instead of going through the partisan Committee of Privileges, chaired by then errant adulterer Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin, still given the lee-way in being Speaker of the House by the PAP government. Should not the handling of Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin's transgressions undergo a thorough official & independent (not partisan) investigation, to find out whether former PM Lee Hsien Loong has been a pathological liar --- publicly stating that he demands the high moral standard of every PAP cadre and MP, when his interests are clearly for self-preservation?
