I did a guided and self tour of Michigan today! I’m a junior and University of Michigan is my dream school. On my self tour at the Walgreen I had a lovely conversation with a sophomore named Stephanie because I saw her talking with who I at the time recognized as “Happy Camper”. He, Austin, invited me to sit in during a preparation session for upcoming Senior Showcase (I believe) with Professor Jason DeBord and MT Chair, Michael (arms like a bolder) McElroy. It was a wonderful time seeing the two guid their students in honing their craft and giving notes. Afterwards I also got to talk to a lot of other seniors who were extremely kind and helpful. I also got like three hugs and felt like I was at Disney Land. I cannot wait to see where these people go in life and hope one day I can be where they are.

Hey Eric! For those who didn’t go to UofM, this grew out of a long-standing fall department meeting tradition, where Brent Wagner would ask each student to introduce themselves and BRIEFLY say where they were from & how they spent the summer. Seniors, of course - thrilled to finally be seniors - were known to elaborate a bit… and that led to Andrew Keenan-Bolger’s class (2007) who became the first to musicalize their intros.
