@@karlmoore5999 you’ll get better very quickly if you only started yesterday but for some reason I’m a veteran at level 16 but feel incredibly capped out. I don’t even receive enough of the conveyors or grabbers as blueprints to automate anything with any consistency. Even if I did there’s never enough space.

I am new to the game and I am honestly quite surprise when seeing you using one research desk to upgrade 3 blurprints. I thought you can only use the desk one time per day. Thanks for the tips and they help me a lot.

I just started the game on ps4. I don't know if the version is different or the game has been updated, but all my layout options include another little room and comes with 2 tables, and the little room is usually the only way to get from the dining room to the kitchen so I tend to set up my kitchen in the little room since I'm playing alone. The serving hatch is only ever a length of 2 as well. Once I hit level 3 or 4 I started getting kitchens with a door linking straight to the dining area which was much better. I came by because I was curious if there was a guide for everything since the game doesn't explain a lot very clearly. The tutorial shows you how to cook which you can already practice on your own, but doesn't tell you what the filing cabinet is. It took me a while to figure out what it was for.

The issue is finding a good map. I could try entering the seed you have right now, and it wouldn't work, likely due to a new update or the fact it's shown in all caps despite there being lowercase letters, and they both produce different results.

The seed in any of my earlier videos likely won’t work. The latest update was to help seeds from being changed due to updates. It’s a hard thing to code in to keep them consistent after each update. But it is being worked on :)

I can barely make it past day 6.. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Serving across the counter is great and the wash basin but I'm still confused

This game has a learning curve for sure. Try to set up your kitchen where you don’t have to run around too much. Also, keeping dishes off the tables helps keep customers inside rather than waiting outside. Feel free to ask questions if you like.

Is the secret simply starting from a good seed? I tend to hit a wall with too many people waiting outside day 10ish due to poorly designed random seed diners.

Secret is playing and learning how to optimize a restaurant to your style only. The guides I make are only to show insight and not how you have to play. It took me many months to optimize my style for success. You will get there!

Thanks for watching! But for this and my other guide videos I spawned in items to showcase. There are mods on the steam workshop if that interest you. But I highly suggest playing vanilla at least for a few franchises to learn. :)

Cant get research desk to do anything but rotate. I have it right next to cabinet, try to use action button..(.on wireless controller) nothing but rotation. Lol what am i dont wrong?

You use it during the day, not in practise. If that’s what you mean. I’m not aware of any bugs that make the research desk not work.

awesome guide, I just started to play the game today and this guide will help me so much thx. I just got to now, is there any trick to get own designed rooms or somethign like that? I always get like three rooms with unhelpful shape. Is there any Impact I can have on the size and shape of the room I dont know about?

Thanks so much! Outside of using the kitchen designer mod, you can’t alter maps. As you gain levels though you do unlock other types and sizes of maps as well as the ability to use seeded maps.

How do you get so many blueprint cabinets? I have about 20 hours in the game, and I've only ever gotten a blueprint cabinet(extra) twice total.

You can get them Blueprint desks, which is the best way. Also, they can spawn as random blueprint at the end of the day. If you are playing the same map seed, make sure to have “seed effects layout only” checked. Otherwise you will keep getting the same blueprints.

I don't understand how you're getting so many desks and blueprint cabinets. I always put first desk in the cabinet but in 50+ runs so far I've seen a blueprint cabinet come up from shop ONE time before i get to overtime D= And desks are sooo rare, even if i put the first one away, about 40% of the time I don't get another one til day 4+

It all depends on how many groups you have and also the day you are at. The more groups or the farther day, the customers come in faster.

As long as you reach OT1 every Tier you can franchise and keep playing the next Tier. But if you lose prior to that, you lose.

Why do I only get food cards? I always lose by day 4 because now I have to cook my choice of food and the extra dish which is usually absolutely annoying to make.

If you are playing a non turbo or autumn map, you should get a choice of food or customer card, every 3rd day.

PlateUp! came out on PC in August 2022, there aren't currently any plans to port to mobile but that could change in the future!
