This is the Divine Liturgy that followed the Liturgy of Preparation (“Proskomedia”), the Holy Antiphons and Evening Psalms, the Great Blessing of the Waters, the Ancient Liturgy of Baptism and Chrismation, and the Private Confession of Sins. We pick up at the Public Confession of Sins and the General Prayer of Absolution, continuing on with the Ancient Liturgy of St. James, according to the 7th Century Liturgikon. The Baptismal Sermon is in its customary place, and those who have prepared for Holy Communion through Confession, Fasting and Prayer finally Commune at the end of the Divine Liturgy.
